I was wondering if Jeff got round to watching a couple of recommendations for two fantastic TV series starring Mark Strong.
I suggested both Our Friends in the North and Low Winter Sun. They're both great, Our Friends for the epic story, fleshed out characters and fantastic cast (Mark Strong, Daniel Craig, Christopher Eccleston and many more) and Low Winter Sun for its grimy and unrelentingly bleak atmosphere.
PS On a related note another brilliant show was shown on UK TV last week, the first of the Red Riding trilogy, a dark surrealist tale of murder and corruption in Yorkshire. One of the best shows on UK TV in a while.
Anyone else seen any of these?
