Had a idea for a potentially fun thread. At work I decided to give myself a treat every day for dealing with the insanity. I allow myself 99 cents each day for 1 song of my choice and use pandora to explore new artists to use that 99 cents on.

So in the same spirit I thought i'd try a song of the day thread. Post 1 song yourself each day, either 1 you like now or discovered that day and maybe it can keep going and get us some new artists to listen too.

"Red Right Ankle" by The Decemberists off the album Her Majesty

Probably the first song I heard by them that started them off to becoming my favorite band. Came up on last.fm one day and I was hooked, went to Hastings and bought every one of their albums.

I finished hearing a concert with George Clinton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Clinton_(funk_musician)) (Parliament and Funkadelic). It's was from Electric Picnic in Ireland. The last song on that concert was Maggot Brain (best guitar song ever). It was marvelous to hear that song live. Absolutely my song of the day. Maybe the song of this month.
