I decided to make my twitter account, @jayadelson, public...
The reasons I kept it private for so long are pretty simple; I was avoiding the use of DMs to simulate a groups feature. The idea of using twitter as a private messaging system to my close friends seemed appealing, at least for a while. No one really uses it that way anymore anyway!
Also, I didn't really think anyone wanted to follow me! I think now, after getting many requests, I realized this is a good way to communicate to fans of Digg and Revision3. The SXSW event really tipped the scale, as I met in person hundreds of Diggnation fans and many of them asked me about this. Now I can get the most out of twitter...and those twitter people promise me a groups feature at some point!
Anyway, feel free to follow me folks. Happy to see you there!
