I think the tribute to Steve's Houses was epic on levels that go past eleven. I got a little vaclemped while watching it. I was like "Steve your choice of music ... It's breaking my heart, all padme like"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXA21RL9-IY

I finished watching this last episode of TRS with manly tears. Yes, manly tears!

Steve best of luck in your future path and goals.

I really wish that they did that clip as one of the openings. I wonder what they're going to replace that with.

Well they said audience parcipitation. Maybe it's going to be original content.. a sitcom or a TRS 'Studio 60' type thing. A semi fictionalised lead up to the episode... and we can all submit plot points they have to incorporate.

That would be cool. Hmmmm probably be diifficult though.

I watched today's episode at work on my Zune and my co-worker looked over at me and asked me why I was tearing up and I told her, "because greatness should be appreciated." Wish you best in all you do, Steve.

What's the name of the song that was playing during Steve's tribute to his house?

It's "Breathe Me" by Sia. The song + house tribute = weepy me.

my heart hurts right now. that last scene where alex and jeff and dan are fading in and out on the couch, jeez dude. I mean the whole thing was little heart attacks, but that last one hit me and by the time i got to the computer to see if there was a thread about it, i just had to let it out. Its not just about steve, it shows how important REAL friends are and how life is, how impermanent and changing it is.

At least if you have to have memories steve, they are good. Jeez, TRS is gonna be a tear jerker for the rest of my life as i get old and grey i think. Ahh jeez here they come again.

Love you much steve, for getting what we all are about. Love all the TRS guys and the guys here on the forums and who ever supports this thing we are all part of.

I don't normally cry when I watch sad movies and such, but I was about ready to after seeing that. The ending with Steve's house was amazing and brought back so many memories of all the things they've done there. It was also nice to see Steve on camera, hugging his friends goodbye.

Thank you for everything Steve, and good luck in the years ahead...

Steve broke me, with the grand aid of Jeff, :P

I was watching Steve's video with a smile throughout the entire thing, feelin' those slight tugs at the heartstrings, but fairly confident that I'd be able to hold it all together.

That mentality all went out the window as soon as the shot of his garage began, which led into the flickering images of Alex, Jeff, and Dan, which brought these "man tears", as you call 'em, to my eyes.

I find it weird now, upon reflection, that you guys all have such an effect on me. As a fan who's never gotten the chance to meet you all, yet has been with you from the beginning, I realize that this hasn't just been two years for you all, it's been two years for us, the fans, or better yet, you're friends.

We're here and will continue to be here, watching the show week after week, enjoying the escape it creates from the real world, and never failing to give us that definite hour of enjoyment.

Steve, you were a part of TRS and will always remain to be. The pioneers are always remembered and you always added so much to the show, without you, the fanbase today wouldn't even exist.

Keep doing awesome work in wherever your endeavors take you and don't ever forget that us TRS fans are your friends now, and we definitely won't be leaving that behind just because you've got a new place and job.

That's really well put. For me, a big part of the show is the nostalgia I get when they reference Flight of the Navigator, or share stories about growing up. In other words, looking back fondly on times that were usually fantastic but that will never come again. Steve's ending montage summed that feeling up perfectly.

That last little bit on the couch...gah...my throat clenches a little bit just thinking about it. I immediately went to iTunes and downloaded that song.

I wish I was a more eloquent writer. I've got a lot of thoughts in my head but I just can't write them well enough to express how I feel. It's amazing that a podcast hosted by people I'll more than likely never meet makes me feel.

Steve,

You really will be missed. You're presence was always felt and it's tough to think of TRS without your hand in it.

That last montage was perfect. That song kills me, besides the fact that it was used in the series finale of six feet under, it fit perfectly.

All I can say is I'm so glad I got to meet you in person at the NY meetup. I even made it onto the episode. Just know that wherever you go, you have a crapload of people supporting you, the fans. Good luck!

Holy smokes that final montage was amazing, heartfelt and extremely well-done. I was left speechless and misty-eyed throughout and the final shot of the couch darn near killed me.

Best wishes in your future, Steve. I hope we get to see you again soon.

The outro video was very well done. I'm a new fan of TRS, so I didn't shed any tears, but I did feel sad. I bet it I had known the show for a longer period of time, I would have been shedding the tears with everyone else.

I started watching this at my friends place but had to pause it because someone wanted me to play Halo. I got home and watched the rest of it and I'm so glad I waited because I would've been a complete mess in front of my friends. The garage and couch shots really hit me. Also Jeff choking up got me choked up.

I think I'm actually more choked up reading everyone's comments on how it affected them. I also downloaded that song and it will now forever be associated with The Totally Rad Show in my mind.

I love this show. I love these people.

Been a fan of the show since around about show 65, and never bothered to register for the forums and participate, was happy just to watch the best show on the interweb... but after 104 and Steve's vid... i had to... i just plain had to.

The man has some serious skills and for a large part i didnt even recognise how big a part he played in TRS... now i do. Thank you so much Steve, you are truly an awesome awesome human being and you will be missed (even by relative newbies like me). What a fantastic way to end... so moving.

Also, good luck to Mike, you have massive boots to fill (and pants and shirt too... or this new format is gonna be all kinds of wrong...)

Peace and love to everyone else on the forums, good to finally get here.

Yet, he's the straight one. And they say being gay is hereditary. Pffttt.

but that video just really got me. this is the 2nd time i felt choked up from a podcast this year. the 1st time was when I heard Garnett Lee got choked up on the final episode of 1UP Yours, the end of the Yours era. Now it is the end of the TRS steve era. This is too much.
luckily, I watched CO-OP right after TRS. This episode was really funny.

You really should watch from th ebeginning in order. It's much more interesting to hear what they have to say about Assassins Creed, in the weeks leading up to the review. I'm sure you'll watch them all one day, but, they are better in order.

Steve is going to be the community manager for a company whose name he told me but is lost to me now. He did say that they were California's second largest employer and worked with studios to provide them some kind of business function, IIRC. He even told me twice and awesomeness of the moments washed away any impression my memory has.

He's trying to create a genome that gives hair to hairless cats. ( I think he has a hidden agenda though). I don't know, I wasn't listening but I think that's what he said.

He's going to be producing podcasts/instructional/tutorial vids for a company that produces software/techniques for the streamlining of the movie/tv/music industry. I believe he'll also be consulting on the production of those softwares. Also capturing the progression of the companies advancement of their techniques and the facilitation of the workflow throughput, utlising said techniques and softwares. :D

I should take this bullshit way of talking and apply it to my resume. Oh wait, I need skills in order to have a resume..... that must be why I have so many bills.

Am I close Steve ?

It's a bigass payroll company for the industries. I avoid receiving paychecks at all costs, and even I have a few checks from them.

Yeah, that is basically correct. I am going to be the Community Manager for a company called Entertainment Partners. They are a payroll company for the entertainment industry, but they also produce software. I am going to be in charge of helping lead some of the development teams in the direction of the software. In addition, I'll be creating training podcasts on various software and services.

Thank you all so much for the kind words! I've said it before and I'll say it again, your support is amazing and immensely appreciated.

I put that video together because those images were haunting me and I had to get that expressed somehow. I'm glad it affected you the same way it affected me.
