Hey everyone. I used to watch Geekdrome every week back when it was in production, but I honestly kind of fell out of watching podcasts after it left, because for me it was the perfect show. I love to see people that have similar tastes, but varying opinions in the same subjects that I enjoy. These of course include movies, comics, video games, and general nerd culture.

I loved the strange semi-agressive relationship between Dan & Jonathan and seeing Jonathan regularly derail the show to try and do something funny. You never knew what might happen, but you always knew that it would be entertaining and you'd get to hear discussions on things you actually care about. I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and I can easily say that it just isn't cool to like the things I like in this area. If I tried to get a group of friends to come play Rock Band, or even something like Call of Duty 4 at my place they would think I was crazy. Forget about talking about comics to anyone, other than my very tollerant girlfriend who only listens because she loves me. :P So Geekdrome, as you can see, played a very important part in my weekly routine as a way to have my nerdtime.

Well, the other day I decided to check revision3 and see if by chance my boys were back, and what shoudl I find but Dan on another show. Not only that, but I seem to remember Jeff & Alex guesting on Geekdrome near the end at some point. Anyway, I watched your Watchmen episode(102 I think) and really enjoyed it. The three of you have a great chemistry, you all seem pretty well versed in your subjects, you guys keep it entertaining, & you obviously tried to up the ante with the green screen stuff and the production values.

Anyway, I am now going back and watching all the past episodes, and I am enjoying them very much too. I am currently oin episode 6, so I have a ways to go, but I am along for the ride boys. Keep up the good work, and you will be hearing from me much more in the future!

Geekdrome was more specialised in their discussions, where as TRS seems to try to delve into a bunch of topics and give brief opinions on movies, games, TV, comics, or whatever they can fit in. It's got better production values, but is definitely a different flavor than the Drome. They seem to be heading in a new direction though with the departure of Steve and acquisition of Mike (camera-man/editor/do-it-all-er) so who knows.

I have watched both TRS and Jonathan's "spin-off" Geekscape since their first episodes. Both have their appeal but neither are like the Drome. It's sort of like Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel's solo careers, they're good, but will never match the works of Simon and Garfunkel!

I actually like TRS a lot more than Geekdrome. Obviously the production value is much higher. But the chemistry is better, the discussions seems more intelligent to me and it's just overall more enjoyable.

Yeah i agree with what poltah said. I liked geekdrome and all but TRS takes it up a big notch.
