Just wondering, would a music segment be a viable suggestion for the Totally Rad Show? I'd personally like to see the guys ponder over a few releases and give honest opinions. It'll certainly be better than relying on Kerrang! or Rock Sound.

I could be wrong, but I think the guys have talked about this before, they said they didn't feel like they knew enough about the music industry to have a music segment, but like I said, I could be wrong.
I'm sure one of the guys will read this and correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh and welcome to the forums!
(nice sig btw, love me some firefly.)

Sadly this has been discussed already. Check out some of the older episodes to find out the specifics, but basically they don't consider themselves "connoisseurs" of music. I think that was it at least. Either way I highly recommend watching some older TRS episodes, you won't be sorry!

If i remember right they said before they don't know enough about music to warrant having a music section in the show to do the music justice.

Thanks for the replies and putting me straight on the matter ^^ I probably will dig out some of the old Totally Rad Shows (especially the "There's no crying in podcasts" intro, I just loved that so much, if someone can remind me which one it is), got a boring weekend ahead of me and need a bit of cheering up ^^

Here's a list of all the Totally Rad Show episodes, intros, and what is discussed during that ep.

It's from the movie "A League of Their Own", episode 55.

Cole-W is right on. A fan question was asking them why they didn't but they said they didn't know enough. It would be cool but i understand. I dont want them to do a segment they arent passionate about. I believe Jeff likes "The Decemberists" just saw he mentioned somethin about purchasing their new album. Dan likes Ratatat. Not sure about Alex but i do remember he had a zune social account similar to last.fm I believe he had Wilco has one of his faves.
I really think music is tough to review. Its so much more subjective than films and definitely more than games.

The boys can't review music. Sadly they are all left-handed and it's affected their feet as well.
