Turns out the Nintendo Wii can have a lot going for it under the right circumstances. Tiff Chow, David Ellis and Kat Bailey join us for Mad World, World of Goo, and Bit.Trip Beat.

Watch and download here. (http://revision3.com/coop/wii/)

the theme song is cute but i think the lyrics are kinda herb inspired…

who was the girl next to david ellis?

wanted to get world of goo but just it did get lost in the shuffle, glad they brought it up though. an d'you know what else has a great soundtrack? that has like a total quirky-ness? donkey-kong 64, i loved that game, DK was my childhood.

LOVED the ending!!!

the fanboy wants to start hate and say…putting that **** where it belongs but that would be silly. and just the starved-for-games ps3 owner coming out of me

Thanks for another great episode, with maybe one of the best ending ever (I never really thought about the fact that the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player was the same size as the Wii).

And yeah for indie games! This episode reminded me that Cave Story for WiiWare should be out in a couple of weeks now.

I love you guys, World of Goo is probably one of the best games ive played in a LONG time ive been waiting for someone to review it properly.

What was up with the bitrate, all Rev3 shows this week so far have been really inconsistent with quality, some shots were ok but others were really macroblocky.

Loved the episode.

About the ending...

for a second there i thought that cesar was going to pull 2 gamecubes ducked taped together... that would've been priceless.

Man, I just started watching the ep, but around 8:20 (during the MadWorld discussion), that piece of music you guys used is that ish. I wanna put a hip-hop beat to it, and just jam. Anyway, great ep as always. I don't need to watch the rest to know.

I had World of Goo for the longest time, yet never played it enough to get to the cool stages you guys showed off. I'm now tempted to start playing again because of that review. Those later levels look awesome.

And thanks for Bit.trip beat. Between games like Rez and Lumines, I can't get enough games where you "make" your own soundtrack.

yes its a rare specie of ps3 owner resulted by the lack of funding to pay for it's addiction due to school tuition fees.

Thoughts:
Tiff Chow is great.
The swinging brick was awesome.
So was the HD-DVD player.
This is all filmed (besides the obvious street scenes) at one house? Pretty big one if you ask me, especially in SF.

Ahh... Heh. Well, I'd suggest either Astro Tripper or Noby Noby Boy, depending if you like games or toys.. Each are $5, and they could be like little snacks for you until you can afford a proper meal. ;)

great episode, but some of the shots during the mad world chat we're a little pixelated. I'm watching the HD Quicktime via iTunes, and the wierd thing is not every shot was pixelated. I dont know what it was, but if you want an example, right when David started to talk about the boss with the tits, the clip of him before the game footage was way pixelated and then the shot of the guys after the game footage looks fine. I watched it twice just to see if it was a one time thing, but it happened in the same spots every time.

This particular episode was challenging for the encoder in a lot of ways - most particularly all that side-by-side with Mad World and the under-lit discussion. The "large" quicktime was particularly problematic, and we actually replaced it with a new encode yesterday (which is not something we normally do - replacing a file for a released show is a bigger deal than it appears up front).

We spent a fair amount of time yesterday encoding-and-testing with this episode and we came up with some new settings which, while still not perfect, should have things looking better next week, at least in the h.264 encodes.

Of course, if we had all the money in the world and downloaders had all the time in the world, we could just crank the bitrate way up ;) We appreciate the feedback - we try to make things look as good as we can while having the files behave predictably on all the various players people use.

For other Wii coverage might I suggest the just released Broken Sword: Shadown of the Templar Directors Cut. I'm a huge fan of the game/series/developer so I'm a bit bias but it's a fantastic game with a really brilliant and well told story.

I'd love to see something like that get coverage on the show, although it doesn't seem to be getting much coverage in the US so I think I'm probably hoping for a bit much.

FYI I don't believe this was discussed on the show, but World of Goo has 4 player Co-Op on Wii (Only Wii)!

Basically, when you are playing, just activate another wiimote and they will get a cursor too. It can be annoying, but also tons of hectic fun trying to properly build structures with 4 people going at it lol.

that girl, Tiff Chow, she should definitely be on the show as a regular. She is funny and talks really well. And btw, since that girl from 1up (the one who always carried the dog around) left, you have needed to have some solid girl representation. Just saying, anyways get Tiff on there all the time!
