Wow, someone lives in an area full of people with too much money.

It says fire ball run on the back. Maybe he used it in a canon ball run style event some where. Those cars are alway covered in adverting.
Oh yeah and does it belong to Alex, Kevin, or some other Diggnation related employees? That would be the only way it's Diggnation related.
Wait is the problem people have with it the color? It's a freaking Lambo, it's meant to attract attention.

That car is so goddammed hot. I'm a sucker for Lambos. They beat the shit out of Maybachs, even though a Maybach costs twice as much.

I want a Ferrari. Hell, just let me behind the wheel of one of these things and give me a curvy road. That would be bad-frakking-ass.

I bought my BMW a week after turning 24. Paid in full thanks to a nice chunk of change for pain and suffering from being hit by a car at 19 and nearly being killed. I love my car.

But I want that Lambo!

Apparently someone told me he had taken it to Hot Import Nights in Miami this weekend so seems awsome. He drives it too much the resale value on that car is almost non-existent

Well at least the guy has enough balls to not be a stupid trailer queen bastard.

If he wants to blow his cash on that car, and he drives the hell out of it, then I salute him!

But honestly I don't like that car. I respect the enginering that went into it, but it just looks pointless. For very reasons, not only because it's out of my budget. I'm over 6'4", I have broad shoulders that make linebackers back off, and I don't think it would pull a trailer very well!

So why is this posted in diggnation?

Translation-I can't afford a car.

No I hate cars and people in them ..I hate how lazy people are in them driving 2 blocks when you can walk and own more than they need and when in them people are ****ing assholes and don't care about anyone or anything else around them.

Where I live I have everything in walking distance so take your sarcasm and shove it.

It's the company car.

A buddy of mine worked for a ISP and had a tricked-out original Hummer that was the same deal.

All the advertising is worth it with all the eyeballs on that car. He's probably required to display the car in a public place one the two days a week he gets to take it home. When he loses his job, he'll be on the bus.

Is the 'Fireball Run' similar to the Gumball 3000 Rally that happens over here on the west coast? They always have high-end cars plastered with decals (sponsors) racing in those things.

In the spirit of the "Great Race" and the late NASCAR® legend "Fireball" Roberts... The 2007 Fireball Run® Transcontinental Rally is America’s only "adventuretainment" rally.

The sponsor-friendly National event takes 125 vehicles on a 3500 mile 9 day cross-country trek. It’s a live action "game" and America is the game board. Starting in Orlando, Florida and ending in Los Angeles, California; participants know only the beginning and the end… where they go in between is anyone’s guess.

Follow your favorite teams online or visit The Fireball Run exhibition teams at any of the meet-and-greet events across the country.

I like the stickers/sponsors on tuner cars (Civics, Supra, SRT-4) but not on a lambo. It just doesn't look right and doesn't fall into the street racing category IMO. Sure its a fast car but street racing is about tuning/moding cars (hence the stickers to pay for it all).

Oh yea, and moved to General Chat

I don't know about that...if the Exelero car from Maybach ever went to production, I could never say no to this baby:

btw, 5864 lbs. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maybach_Exelero) Big baby :)

I had no idea that it was about sponsorship

Seriously ... how many tuner cars you see are sponsored? They buy those stickers at Pep Boys or online (http://www.modernimage.net/html/products.php?catid=3&id=99)

Those stickers look cool. Like most of the other accessories, they don't have an effect on overall performance.

I know people that are sponsored. One of my friends is getting sponsored for his Neon. I know what your thinking "But its a Neon". He sunk close to $10,000 in performance/visual work into the car. The next big thing he is doing is getting an SRT-4 engine swap and converting it from an automatic to a 5-speed.

Here is a pic of it:

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/8748/neonol8.jpg

As for stickers such as the AEM one you posted, he has stuff like that in his back window to show people what he has done (the stickers came with the stuff he bought).

When I see a lambo, I turn the other way and mumble about how my day had just gotten ruined.
If it was a Ferrari, on the other hand, I'd totally be humping the car... thats just me though...

Okay......so many people I could quote for stupidity, but I'll just say my opinion instead.

Stickers all over a side of vehicle is stupid. And no freaking duh, they don't help the performance.

Seriously, your friend dropped 10k into a neon? WTF man? Does he just have cash falling freely from his ass so he can throw it away like that?

He has been into tuning/moding cars his whole life. He's 18, works full time and lives at home still so he is more free to spend money on stuff like that. Personally, I think its a bad idea to sink that kind of money into a car for the simple risk of losing it all. If he was to total the car then he is out not only out a car but also all the money he sunk into it because he hasn't reported any of this to his insurance company.

Lambos and Ferraris are decent, I guess. Koenigsegg still owns, though.
The Maybach posted earlier resembles a locomotive to me, except I can appreciate the appearance of the train.
Stickers on an automobile when someone isn't paying you to do it is foolishness. I even hate it when the old musclecar guys do it. Why would you want to give away your hole card like that?

Ryudo, you may not own a car, but I strongly suspect you own a Mac.

At least if I were to roll/total my jeep, it wouldnt be a full loss, Actually, I'd just laugh it off ant take it off the road, depending on its condition, part it out, or just trailer it to the offroad parks...
