Content Managment system

Hey, I'm working on a nice little site that I've made in Frontpage (its a start:P) Now I'm interested in putting some code or what ever I need to allow people to log into to an admin panel to update content boxes or add a new box for some news.
Is there any free programs/apps/or code that will allow me to do this? Or do I have to pay, and if I pay for it, how do I go about installing it into my website?

I know this isn't a good place to put this question but its the only software part of the forums that has decent amount of traffic.

you can do it mostly free...the CMS software i recommend is:

Joomla
Dragonfly CMS
PHPNuke
and Pligg

I'd recommend Joomla as well. Pain to learn, but once you get it working, it does everything you want it to do :)
