i got random stops through out the episode and when i closed the add the big ol play button stayed in the center of the screen as if it was paused but the video was still playing and the the bar at the bottom that show how far you are into the show didnt work. maybe it is just me other than that great episode

Same here, the commercian breaks the flashplayer.
Can't pause, rewind or fast forward in the player once the Add has been shown.

Really enjoyed the episode 196 - Brews on the Beach, great product placement too, can't wait to hit the beer isle at Wal-Mart after work :)
I'm enjoying the few episodes that you guys have had outside, don't know why, guess it's just a change from the couch.
Wanted to mention too that I enjoy the way you guys describe the beers your trying for the week, that's what makes me want to try them (I'm hooked on Michelob's AmberBock thanks to your opinion's), same thing with the tea's (I'm a new Adagio Teas customer).
Just a shout out to Glenn and his awesome camera, sound & lighting work too, I'm really enjoying the HD version of Diggnation, it looks great on my MacBook Pro & my 42" Samsung.
I think it's a really cool idea about leaving voicemail for people that leave their numbers on their e-mails, can you imagine how intense that was for that girl in Ohio to get that voice mail? That's cool !!

That would be a cool idea to call people who leave numbers in the emails... all they would have to do is *67 and block their number. pretty good episode... I have a feeling people are going to complain that there was a lot of advertising talk, especially in the beginning though. they did have 4 though :/ netflix, gamefly, michelob, go daddy

This show was great and not just because they read my email and left me a message. But that part was really cool. It really made my week and cheered me up. Thanks guys.

Seems like the episode moved along nicely...not big on the filler, but still casual and laid back. Well done. I don't know all the details as I've only caught the last few episodes recently, but I have mixed feelings about all the Michelob love. I know they are a sponsor and all, but the Dunkel Weiss and Shock Top are the only thing they've got worth consuming, and I'll take a Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat over the Shock Top. Sponsors are necessary and all, I get that, but beers are such an neat part of the show, and now I'm afraid everything's going to be a St. Louis-fest.
The twitter story still makes me laugh. We were circulating that one around work when it dropped. Silly Cisco interviewee.
Surprised Kevin called you Danielle, but cheers for sending the email on a whim - made the show fun. :)

Great episode guys, it was short but sweet. I didn't like hearing you guys hate on bittorrent though, come on it's not that bad. Bittorrent used to be the wave of the future remember?

I was surprised to see them hating on bittorrent...
also I have no idea why he says "you have to open up ports" ...mine has always worked automatically, never had to change my port settings.
...and as long as you have a good site to get the trackers from (aka an invite/sign up site) you get great dl speeds. I haven't even been on pirate bay in a loong time.
I was pissed, this onetime my friend recommended a site to me and said it was "top notch" had the best trackers... so I do a test download of a file and was disappointed to see a constant 1.9-2.0 under speed, But boy did I feel dumb when I realized uTorrent converts 1,900-2,000 kbps into 1.9-2.0 mbps. bittorrent is still good you just have to find the right trackers...
I thought it was a pretty good episode. The phone call was awesome I wish she was there to answer her phone that would have be so funny.

Oh, btw, pretty good episode. it was nice to see a scenery change from the good ol' couch.
The ABC player works on my Mac in Safari (haven't tried Firefox), and in HD. So I don't know what he's talking about.

Yeah, I dunno why he said that about Macs either. I was just more referring my rant towards Linux.
(And.. yes, I know it's the same on NBC/CBS too. I just have always hated ABC's the worst out of all of them)

I do like that they show Lost in HD. But I can't stand that they don't let me watch the commercial and then have it automatically start back up. It's annoying as hell to have to get up and hit "Play now" or whatever every single time a commercial ends.

At about thirty-one minuets in, there's an email from a girl named Celeste with pictures attached from the live show at SXSW. I was standing there next to her boyfriend when he was trying to (unsuccessfully) snap the shot of her and Alex. I offered to take the picture for him and did so. The picture you showed in the episode is the picture I took. I had never met the two of them before but got his email address and sent it off later that night.
I feel slightly famous now seeing the picture I took for someone else show up on Diggnation.

Hey everybody! I just read a few comments about this weeks show and I wanted to add to the chaos. Thank you sooo much tehshawn for taking the picture! I had no idea that it would show up and I didn't mention anything in the email about you takeing it and @mmolai for taking the other one. THANK YOU! And SecretAsianMann for the comment (: My phone number was in fact at the bottom of that email and I think I know what I'd like to say to Kevin Rose now (it took me a while to figure it out). There was a bit of a backlash to the pictures being posted, see --edited out blog link-- "I can't believe this happened" Now my brother is going to let me co-host an episode with him on DranksTv.com, check it out next week!!! I still can't believe they read my email, thanks again

Did anyone else find it funny when Kevin said something to the effect of "Man brewmasters have the greatest job ever." Even though they had a story on digg a month or so ago talking about "Dream Jobs" and what they are really like at that was one of the dream jobs that was apparently hell.

Yeah i think all people should adopt the "double pee" concept. Its not new. I could go all day peeing in the same toilet and not flush until the end of the day. Think of it like this. You spend maybe 3 gallons per flush (minimum). Lets say you pee 5 times daily. That is 15 gallons to dispose of pee. You could pee twice and flush and save 7+ gallons. That is a lot of gallons. Sure you won't save a lot of money but you will save water and the power to dispose of that water at the plants etc. Save the effing water people. Sure it is the most available resource in the world but who cares, you are helping all you can.
On a second note, in college in the dorms if I had to pee in the middle of the night (too much beer before bed or passing out, makes you pee...who doesn't know this) I would pee in the sink. Why not?

so glad michelob got back with kevin + alex for diggnation. i was going to email the guys about the dunkel weisse last year (never got around to it), since it wasnt available in the last brewmaster kit. it is really good stuff (available in a solo 6er @ bevmo). shocktop is also good, though its clearly bluemoon with the oj already in it :)
cant wait to try the other brews.
although, michelob ultra coming in flavors like pomegranate raspberry, lime cactus and tuscan orange grapefruit is a bit of a turnoff.
...ok ok. i do want to try 'em)
