amazon free shipping?

anyone use this free shipping that they talked about on the show from amazon? i saw it advertised and would consider it if it was on everything? is it all items or just stuff from amazon and not other suppliers? i mean would my used books that i buy be free shipping also?

I think you are talking about Amazon Prime (http://amazon.com/prime)

It is not exactly free, because you pay 80 dollars a year to get the "free" shipping. You get free two day shipping and next day shipping is only $3.99. It is pretty awesome to get packages the next day for super cheap. Its usually only on amazon direct orders but most everything I usually get is "Prime Eligible". Not sure if it applies to your used book situation though.

Its totally worth it if you are going to spend over 80 dollars in shipping in the next year.

If you're buying the used books from a private seller, similar to eBay, then shipping is not free. All items shipped from Amazon are free, and they're awesome with shipping. I paid for 2 day shipping last week and they upgraded it to 1 day for free! Guess I got lucky or something? :)

I try to buy everything from Amazon because of Prime. Thankfully they are usually the cheapest as well.
