I can understand hating it, but it's a show based on not caring about what anyone thinks (i.e. Blockfister?), so tell us why your hatred of strippers (they don't have feelings, but we do) should even matter?

The hosts of the show sat back and downed at least five 40's between the two of them. I'd be worrying more about why you're watching the show at all.

Nah, I'll agree with him. I wanted to show the episode to my kid brother, who is 9. I mean, the swearing isnt too bad, but I'm like, "Shit, the strippers are probably a little too much."

It kinda reminded me of G4 actually. Throwing in random chicks everywhere. God, have you guys seen how pathetic that network is now? Its very sad..

I will agree with him I think the strippers are a bit much even though they aren't naked and don't really do anything. I would like to be able to watch my content at work or at school, but I do not want to be the one to start censoring content. I think the show is great and if I have to watch it in private to keep my dignity than so be it.

...Well, other than the point being that double_d was busy doing something else when we was supposed to be Kevin's getaway car...

I thought it was hilarious watching one of them slap the other with a line card. I think one of them was holding a USB cable. Apparently double_d needs a little something "extra."

...And no, this isn't for kids. We asked Apple to mark it as "explicit."

So 12 year olds shouldn't be watching it.

I think that's a mistake Jay. I think it should be marked as "Public Service Announcement."

Having those strippers in the intro makes me more nervous to watch theBroken at school. What if a teacher see's it then like bans me from school computers? PS Dan is lucky.

Then get your own computer (laptop) and either plug into the ethernet or connect to the wireless (if they have any).

Isn't this like saying, "I'm fine with the whole Nazi Holocaust thing, but did they have to wear knee high boots?" I mean the show starts with Dan rolling a f'ing huge joint then continues with plenty-o-swearing, illegal hacking and excessive malt liquor consumption. Why does all of this remind me of the South Park movie? "Horrific, Deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words." Except this time you've gone to far. Titties want.... no.... need to be free!

(Note: This comment and all other comments are in no way meant to condone fascism or the nazi party in any way, but are merely trying to make a point. Rev3 and all respected parties are in no way endorsing mass murder. Any hate mongering groups can go and take a long swim in a olympic size pool filled with double edge razor blades. The information wants to be free, yo!)

Not to be rude, but you are 12 and you do not like half naked girls? What is wrong with that picture?

But yea my cousin is around 6 and he understands what the show is about and he doesn't care, hell he probably still thinks the stork brings babies.

But if you're watching thebroken then you should know it is explicit! Hell Double_D was rolling a 11" Joint and Kevin was drinking a fourty when he was sleeping and looked at porn while Double_D was reading thebroken's message boards.

muzical84

Alright, first, I'm 22. Second, I'm female. That said, I found the strippers a wreched addition to the show. (Yes, I thought rolling the joint was stupid, too, but it could have been tobacco for all I knew or cared. The alcohol, while not something I'd activly seek out in my media, is something I can live with.) I liked the opening the broken had before, and that opening was shorter as well.

I also agree with the viewers a bit agitated about not being able to show it to younger siblings, watch it in school, whatever. (To address one poster in particular, watching this at school doesn't make you brave (your comment implied the person is a coward,) it just makes you irresponsible.)

Also, you will normally never hear me agree with feminists on jack squat (espeically the militant feminazis,) but I do agree with them that this kind of smut objectifies women and portrays us as objects for pleasure and nothing more. Do I think y'all are going to be wife-beaters or anything? Of course not, but it's that doesn't make this alright.

*Sigh* I'd write more, but I can already smell the smoke from flames. -_-

Just thought I'd toss in my 2 cents on the matter. Don't call yourself a proponent of free speech, yet deny me mine. -_-

Are strip clubs in the US anything like Canadian ones? I've heard there are "no touch" rules, and bars are topless only.

Now then kids, who wants to learn about Newsgroups? How bad could Newsgroups be. It's just "news", right?I have always wondered why there is an emphasis on blocking porn websites, when usenet is a much richer source of boobies ... a.b.n.* FTW :D

I guess the christian right can't figure out newsgroups from their AOL accounts.

No touch is pretty standard, unless it is "invited".

Other rules which are kinda odd (again, depends on location) are topless where alcohol is served, and full nude where there is no alcohol. Booze and boobies seem to go together though, and I have always felt ripped off when they don't go all the way ("Here is half a dollar note ...").

I am not a smoker, but the haze in a strip club has always made what are often skanky women (depending where you go, I have seen some great strippers too) look much better - sort of like a fog filter on a camera, so no smoking rules ruins the effect as well.

Sure, who needs to learn about Free, DVD quality, full length, hard-core porn movies alt.binaries.multimedia when you can get small, low-resolution JPEGS from google from just typing in "boobs".

Idk I just kind of take the whole show as kind of like being in character. Kind of a what if hackers acted like Gangsters kind of thing. Which is not only funny because it doesn't seem to be true for Kevin Rose and Dan (could be wrong not like I know the guys) but it's also poking fun at people who actually act like that. But then again I probably read too much into things.

I see where Rev3 was going with this episode. They have divided thebroken as it was into Systm and new thebroken, in which Systm is more the mainstream tech content while thebroken is strictly underground/borderline illegal. As such, they've made stylistic differences to each show in order to reflect this.

The only problem with thebroken's new "underground" style is it looks too fake. Kevin and Dan do a terrible job acting bad on camera; it is clear that they are trying to cuss as much as possible, which makes the both of them look really dumb.

On top of that, the both of them look more nerdy than gangsta. The stripper thing was lame because Dan looked obviously out place in that segment.

I guess the point here is that it would be better if thebroken cut the whole "underground" act, including the strippers and the forced cussing, and just stuck to the comedy and tech content. The "Blockfister" segment and the amusement park segment (social engineering at work) were funny; Dan attempting to role a big joint was dumb.

That's pretty much it. I know in Georgia you have to be 21 to get in, but in South Carolina you only have to be 18, but they mark you.

Probably not even state by state, but club by club. Each club probably has it's own rules.
