Gordon the Intern is back as he joins Ron in iFanboy's coverage of the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle. Not to be out done by the WonderCon or the New York Comic Con episodes, Ron and Gordon are here and they mean business!
First up we catch up with Mark Waid, editor in chief of Boom Studios to talk about life at an indie publisher and his new comic Irredeemable, as well as his latest gig on Amazing Spider-Man.
Catching up with Rick Remender is always nice, but catching him after his newly announced exclusive deal at Marvel is even more fun
Ivan Brandon chats with us about his new book, Viking, which is one of the hottest indie books these days, and it's not even out yet!
Do you want to work at Marvel Comics someday? Then you need to know who C.B. Cebulski is and follow him on Twitter!
One of the best books of 2008 was SuperSpy by Matt Kindt and he's got a new book coming out from Dark Horse Comics, 3 Story.
The hardest working guy in comics, Jeff Parker fills us in on Mysterius the Unfathomable, Agents of Atlas, the new launch of Exiles and Dark Reign: The Hood
Buffy the Vampire Slayer artist Georges Jeanty gives us the behind the scenes look on how one of the most popular comics today is made
Matt Fraction steps in with a report from the scene of the accident and fills us in on Invincible Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men and the ominous Dark X-Men and Dark Avengers/X-Men crossover
Fan favorite Brian Michael Bendis lets us hang out at his table while he's signing and raves about the Powers TV show, Ultimate Spider-Man, Dark Reign, New Avengers and gives us a preview of the New Avengers Free Comic Book Day issue.

Great ep, we are getting spoiled with these hour long interview shows. Loved how Ron called out Remender and Fraction.
I have one of those Daredevil misprint omnibus too.

Hey Ron,
Couldn't help but notice, but were you getting a little uncomfortable with the Matt Fraction interview? He really seemed to come across as a bit of a dick in that segment.
I've never seen him interviewed before, so my assessment could be way off.

HAHA I just watched the show and felt the same way about him. BUT, Ron had a big smile on the whole time and looked like he was just trying to hold his laughter. Must have been a little sketch. Seem to remember them doing something about a month ago and a dif con.

Fraction was kidding. Just like Joe Casey.
Or wait, is he?

Shh, Joe Casey should always be a total jackass in all of our minds.

Wow that sounds really terrible if you think about it :)
I did like it how Fraction just took Ron's mic and highjacked the show for a bit....Then Jason Aaron came in and it went all kinds of crazy.

Oh, ok. I thought it might have been something like that. I had never seen the dude in person before. I just couldn't help wishing Ron would grab the mike back from him and stuff it up his arse. hee hee.
Although I have to say, I find the sketches on iFanboy quite easy to spot with the whole intern interview thing. Must've been really good acting on Ron's part considering his face flushed for a couple minutes. He also started off the interview with quite a legitimate question; not anything I would've thought would have been designed to incite Fraction.
What I'm trying to do is start a civil war of sorts between the ifanboys and comic writers. I want cage matches, replete with spinning piledrivers and inverted figure fours. Ok, I made up that last move; but it might be funny if someone attempted it.
Flanagan, I thought Joe Casey was really funny. Fraction annoyed me, as does his writing. ;)
No Dark X-MEN? This promo looks odd then.

Does the $1000 offer still apply?

If you listen to the interview, Fraction is very careful to say 'No Dark X-Men title has been announced yet,' not that one isn't coming.
But I'm pretty sure that 'Dark X-Men' thing is a one-shot with multiple small stories, much like the various Dark Reign one-shots.

Well, if you listen to the interview, Fraction is careful to say that no Dark X-Men title has been announced yet, hoyvin-glayvin, but when he reiterates the point with his offer of $1000 he states that he simples wishes for Ron to prove that an announcement for Dark X-Men exists, which it now does, with the implication that such a title will never exist. Plus Fraction's behaviour seems rather... fulsome.

I don't know what you think that word means, but as said earlier in the thread, they were goofing around. Also because something now exists doesn't mean it did a month ago.
ETA: Forgot to reiterate my actual point, which is that this cover is for a one-shot, not an ongoing series.

I prefer the archaic meaning maybe, but I'm not the only one who believed it not to be goofing around, primarily because it seemed as though Fraction, running on a case of Red Bull, was, at the very least, making Ron uncomfortable (again, it just looked as though he was laughing nervously to get the interview beyond it's own road blocks).
Me and the Dark X-Men $1000 bet? Goofing around.

I still don't know what you think that word means (multiple definitions, no context), and Dark X-Men still hasn't been announced.
