Talksplode #9 with Ed Brubaker of Captain America, Incognito, Daredevil, and Angel of Death

Running Time: 00:41:38

Josh and Ron catch up with the very busy Ed Brubaker. We cover a whole lot of ground including the live action web series Angel of Death, written by Ed and starring Zoe Bell. We talk about Ed's early cartooning work, as well as Captain America, Daredevil, Incognito, and the upcoming Marvels Project. Then we try to convince him to see My Blue Heaven. Well, not in that order.

I was upset that Bru left Iron Fist and that he's soon leaving Daredevil, but I didn't realize how busy he was! Marvels sounds fun, I liked the way he covered the espionage elements of the Marvel past in Captain America, so a book devoted to just that sounds very enticing!

I wasn't that interested in Marvels until I listened to this. I generally don't care about retelling a story I've already read. His enthusiasm sold me on giving it a try, though.

Same here! I think I have a natural aversion to Alex Ross art.

Great show! I was about to write and ask when the next 'Talksplode' would be happening and then I came to iFanboy and found this. Awesome!

I actually just read the first trade of 'Criminal'. Solid storytelling. I'm gonna move right along to the next one.

We need more Talksplode, btw. I hope you guys have Jason Aaron on the list!

Awesome show! I had it on as background noise, but sure enough gave it my full attention because I found the conversations to be so enjoyable.

Brubaker & Phillips need to get married, and do every single comic together. Forever.
