is it me or did any of your guys find the waiter really annoying? I know she must have been awed from the camera's en such but i dunno she just struck me the wrong way... maybe she just reminds me of apple folk to pc owners as is a tea drinker to COFFEEE!!:D

She didn't seem too annoying, she didn't really seem interested in being on camera or Diggnation at all lol. I kept laughing when Kevin was giving her looks behind her back.

Good episode however, some good stories and loved that it was at the Samovar tea lounge :D

I'm kind of afraid to think about next episode. Hopefully none of this rumor stuff is real.

I love how Kevin took my suggestion and actually did it.

EVERYONE LOOK:

I am also username Nickcast. I posted a comment on his blog like a few weeks ago.

How about shooting a Diggnation at the Samovar Tea Lounge in SF too, I was there and it was really cool. Would be fun to see Alex's reaction to teas and you could use it to sell teas as a cross promotion.

Suhweet please also follow up with places I suggested for Diggnation in L.A. , I have a bunch of promoters cards so I could probably get models to show up and a sweet club if you guys hit me up.

Not sure if I am one of the few, but as much as I enjoy seeing Kevin & Alex out in the public, I am really missing the way the earlier episodes were, couch, beer and geek stories. Can't put my finger on it, but it seems to me something is changing about the show.

I do however appreciate the comments Kevin & Alex have when it comes to beer, wine or tea tasting, I respect their opinions and have discovered some new products I haven't tried before. Looking forward to my order arriving from Samovar Tea.

I just downloaded the iLick app and it's, well, a cool idea Alex, but not for .99 cents. This should be a FREE app or better yet, shareware. Now, if there was some interaction with the app, then yes, I would pay for it.

I know I heard Kevin say that Sherry Duffy (the server at Samovar Tea Lounge), was hot, sic 'em Kevin, sic 'em :)

Another shorter episode. This time we don't even get an email segment either. Awesome. What's next? Cutting Digg stories to make room for more sponsors talk? I kid... sort of.

Alright episode. Nice change of pace to see Kevin and Alex out an about. The first 10 minutes were really the best part though. Once they got into the stories they seemed to really be rushing to get through the stories. Guys, SLOW DOWN! We like the longer episodes. I remember getting excited when I'd see that an episode of Diggnation went longer than 50 minutes or so. Now it's getting rare for an episode to break the 35 minute mark.

LoL... I like how kevin tried a little flirting with the askign her favorite tea.. when they disagreed on chai, Kevin gives the camera a goofy look..

hahaha...

bet 10 bucks kevin is asking her out.

For fuck sakes...

Why is Diggnation such a rush now? A huge disappointment week after week after week.

Awesome episode. Kevin disagreeing with the waitress was pretty darn funny. Plus you can't beat some good tea....I think.

Hi guys,

I didn't watch the whole episode yet...

But I thought that tattoo on Kevin's arm is pretty cool...
Does anyone know what it is or if there's a photo of it somewhere?

I know it sounds weird, but I 'm trying to get some inspiration...

Cheers!

The Diggnation we knew and loved died a long time back. The show is now Sponsornation and/or Teanation.

There were times when I wish they would've continued with their tangents, but then the tea girl came to serve them and never got back to it. Agree that the first 10 min. were better than the rest of it. Hoping 200 is an improvement. If not, I may be out.

I was a short but good episode. I agree with others that it was tooooo short though. Too much time spent on tea and sponsers. Alex so makes me laugh when he copies something Kevin is being serious about; like the tea slurping...LOL.

The waitress was cute but seemed like she would be more fun if she was drunk!

Okay! Lets just run the show off of this imaginary inward flow of money and do away with sponsors! Serving millions of viewers in many different file sizes and formats through many different distribution channels on a weekly basis is cheap as hell anyway!

Decent episode, but it annoyed me how Alex kept saying "hurry up" and trying to rush the episode. Bring back the hour long episodes, and don't pull an Apple (i.e. when we ask for the second email, don't cut out the only email we had, like Apple did with buttons on the Macbook)

Other than the brevity, a good episode. Anyone else considering the tea set? I am. I have been eyeing different beginner tea sets for a while, though $32 shipped is a bit steep. The girl was also cute. I was a fan.

I also thought this was a very good episode, with the exception of the lack of email. Am I the only one who, while I like all the location changes, thinks it's time for us to settle back down in Kevin or Alex's living room for a couple of episodes straight? Maybe putting them back in their comfort zone will continue this positive trend and enhance it.

That was one hell of an annoying and pretentious ep. Annoying because of the waitresses. And pretentious because the annoying waitress described in detail how to brew tea! SEVERAL TIMES! IN DETAIL!

It's like listening to wine snobery.

And lest you think I'm just a hater, let me just say that I'm a tea drinker and own most of the teas they drank, ( except for the green tea milkshake )

lol. I don't think so. It's a bit creepy. If you Google her name *which they put up like at least 3 times during the show* that's the first result. She's pretty cute, though.

The comment earlier about the waitress being pretentious because she was explaining how to brew the tea is ridiculous. She is a "tea server" at a "tea lounge", what do you expect her to do?

Tea can be very delicate and depending on the amount used and the size of the vessel in which the tea is steeped, the time will vary.

I loved that they were in Samovar, even if the place itself is (in my opinion) overpriced. I love when they talk about tea and it was a great backdrop to some great stories.

I've never been a fan of the e-mail segments in Revision 3's shows. I like how iFanboy operate with a mailbag every now and then. That would be much better to use that as a filler episode if the guys need a break for a week. Shoot it after an episode and voila, two weeks off.

I agree with ngower. The only problem i had was that they had 8min of really nothing before even getting into a story and with the live reads the episode was very short.

I was only able to watch the first 10 mins before class so I jumped on the forums real quick to see if the whole episode was going to be as good as the first 10 mins were... Sad to hear a couple people say the first 10 was the best... Oh well

They used to drink a lot more beer than they do now. And they hardly ever get drunk anymore, it sucks. And I'll ignore the flaming side of your post.

A 10 minute segment on sponsors is more effective in an hour long episode than a 30 mins episode.

It's a swastika, no wait, it's a picture of your mom's face with a line through it, no it's Bush's face with a halo.

How can you think it's cool if you don't even know what it is ?

Do you realise how sad that sounds ?

That was one hell of an annoying and pretentious ep. Annoying because of the waitresses. And pretentious because the annoying waitress described in detail how to brew tea! SEVERAL TIMES! IN DETAIL!

So if I work at an electronics store and explain to someone how the different electronics work, am I being pretentious? No, I'm doing my job. Same thing with a tea server explaining how to brew the tea. She explained it several times because it was different for each tea.

First diggnation is less of a rush and simply cutting out their life drama crap that I could care less about. The point of the show is to talk about user submitted stories not their own.

Second....Alex its not impotentce that both men suffer from but sterility. if they were impotent then they couldn't get it up.

I found the waitress very cute and unlike some audience members on live meet-ups, I was impressed that she wasn't trying to hog the camera time up.

I agree as well. I am degreed, very intelligent and love Computer/Software Tech. I know what I know... fact. That doesn't make me pretentious if I am trying to teach someone. That makes me confident of my abilities.

Being pretentious is when you snub your nose at someone because you think they are stupid for NOT knowing and refuse to explain it.

Egotistical much? Having a degree isn't a huge deal, its basically your way of conforming to ideals that other people deem important.

Egotistical much? Having a degree isn't a huge deal, its basically your way of conforming to ideals that other people deem important.Thats the argument made by people who feel they need to justify why they DON'T have a degree.

maxhdrm was saying that he knows what he knows. Tech is his area. If the waitresses thing is tea, then that is (part of) what she knows and is good at it.

Knowing your subject matter isn't pretentious - especially in a podcast where this episode was about tea, a little education on brewing the product correctly is fine.
