Me and several other mac users I checked with are no longer getting sound in embedded youtubes in either safari or firefox. This happened before, but that was just me and some setting I set for flash, not this time though. This just happened the last couple of days. Anything change on your end?

We made no changes to the YouTube plugin.
I am using a Mac (10.5.5) with Firefox 3.0.10 w/ Flash Player 10,0,12,36 and I am able to view the YouTube Embeds with no audio problems.
Test you version of the flash player here (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507).
A quick way to test if it is your setting is to create another user account on your Mac and test it with the newly created user account with all the Firefox and Flash defaults.

Thanks, I'll try that.
edit. Got the same version as you.
Sound worked on "new user"
I don't get it?
checked all the flash prefs I could find.
Any Ideas, wonderful rev3 folks? :(

Try this link (http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html) and see if there is anything out of the ordinary in your settings between the "new user" and your normal login.

I'm still experiencing the lack of sound on the embedded YouTube videos problem.

me too.
It is something to your local setting if I recall correctly.

It might be something within your settings. Can you try creating a new account on your Mac and testing?
