Congratulations Kevin, Alex, Prager & Glenn on Episode #200
I wouldn't doubt it if you really have had 1238 beers, Glenn needs to change the Diggnation graphics during the opening for the show, example: "Diggnation Episode #200 Beers Consumed 1238".
Glad to see Michelob sponsoring this episode, yes Kevin I agree, my favorite from the Spring Sampler is also the Honey Wheat. Just started following Michelob on Twitter also, that's awesome how they reply back to you. Thanks Michelob for sponsoring Diggnation !!
Again, congrats going out to Alex for his iLick app, looking forward to future apps, maybe a Diggnation app. So Alex, where's the profits going? Maybe a Macbook Pro :)
Still can't believe John Madden is calling it quits, enjoyed lots of Monday Night Football with my dad, grandpa and John Madden.
When Alex talked about banging Martha Stewart, I agree, she is one hot MILF ;)
Kevin, thanks for putting together the Tea Starter kit at Samovar, it's awesome.
My favorite live episodes are the one's at the small bars, don't know why, it just is.
Looking forward to another 200 episodes !!!

Excellent episode! Not only the reminiscing. I'm glad to hear the "iLick" app is already breaking the top 100! Gives us hope to see some cool apps from Alex in the future.

Oh man. Okay everyone. After watching this episode, I remembered why I loved/love this show so so much. Maybe it's good content. Maybe it is because I grew up watching them. Maybe it's because they finally provided an outlet for the geek in me. But wow...what a ride it has been.
Hands down...what a chemistry these two have together. Comparable to Salt and Pepper, Peanut Butter and Jelly, McCartney and Lennon. Wow. Epic individual show. Epic show in general. I feel sorry for anyone who has not had the privilege to have an episode of diggnation in their lives every week.
Maybe I am exaggerating the meaning of this show but for anyone who has watched since the very first episode when Alex looked like a plumber, it was hot and there were flies, Keith made paper frogs, revision3 was a joke of a site, and Digg.com was still in version 1.0...I think you know what I mean.
Wow...what a journey it has been and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Diggnation.

What new show was this? This definitely wasn't Diggnation... because Diggnation was in a downward spiral, and this show kinda not sucked... ;)
Kevin talking about the Zune OS... didn't he say that was the one thing he liked about Win7? the simplistic white icons... guess opinions depend on the day... I think if the zune became a phone it could give competition to the iphone.
If I was Martha Stewart's age and was a single lonely old man... I'd do her lol But being young and cool still... i think I can do better :) can't believe I said I'd do Martha lol
Those two blotches of dirt??? or whatever it was by Alex's head kept distracting me...
Lala is hot... and I, like her, have never seen shawshank redemption... in it's entirety at least... I've seen bits and pieces.
Excellent Episode

I think there is a sizable part of the market that _does_ want a more text-oriented interface. I would imagine most programmers (like myself) would rather see more emphasis on text instead of icons.
When I was playing WoW, the standard bags looked a lot like iPhone interface, sans captions below icons. I had a lot of trouble with those, even with basic tasks like seeing which icon was added and which ones are out of place. When I switched to an addon (Baud Manifest) that displayed tiny icons and full captions in large font, everything became much, much easier.
So, at least for yours truly, Zune's home screen is far more usable than the iPhone's.
Good show :)

congratulations on #200, most television shows don't even make 200 episodes. i was surprised the marriage proposal didn't make the cut, i guess because she said no and ruined dan's life.
p.s. everyone should purchase iLick, it's 99 cents, 69 cents goes to alex, help him out, it's not nearly as bad as iFart or the million other stupid apps.

I'm impressed, it was actually a very good episode. Rather than just talk about random stories, you talked about stories you were interested in, even though you didn't get wasted, you weren't afraid to have a few beers, and even though the new content part was on the short side, it didn't feel rushed.

You guys must not watch much football. The guy became a caricature of himself and hasn't said anything interesting or insightful since the mid 1990's. His retirement brings a breath of fresh air back into the broadcast and will allow those of us who love football to watch the games with the sound up again. Don't mourn that stuttering, marble-mouthed, blowhard's departure.

I always love it when kevin and alex talk about sports. They usually have no clue what there talking about. I remember when they though Baron Davis was Jessica Alba's bodyguard. Well whatever there tech guys.
Great episode, good montage by put together by Hippie. And they should have thanked Keith he was huge part of the show too. And I'm assuming that chick (smoking hot by the way) is Kevin's girlfriend. I'm thinking this b/c of Alex's comment about how your spoiling this movie now. She is not the one from the tea shop from the last episode.
The only thing I hated about the episode was Kevin bring up "Lost". Had to mute that portion. Haven't seen any season 5 episodes since I'm away at College.

That smoking hot chick was Lala from tiki bar... He used to date her but I doubt they are again... her living in LA and him in SF. But you never know... I remember her saying she was visiting in SF for a few days so she might've stayed at Kev's as they are still good friends. BTW i think the Samover tea girl was cute... Lala=hot, Samover tea=cute

I do not have the memories from watching all the episodes, but I am happy that I starting watching when I did. These guys make me laugh. Catching up on the previous episodes slowly. Alex and Kevin definitely go well together and the show would not be the same without them as well as having Pregger and Hippie behind the scenes.
Thought Alex was burping up his lunch for a second chew for a minute there.
Love the "gonna make you cry" music at the end. lol. I wonder if anyone did......
Do Martha? GROSS! Any idea how many rolls of fat are under those curtains she calls clothing? Probably close to the amount of beers that were consumed on the show to date. I am sure she was hot in her time, but please.....In the future don't jeopardize your viewership by talking about sex with Martha.

It's funny, chode doesn't necessarily mean what the Diggnation guys seem to be referring to, here's its first definition via urbandictionary and what it means around these parts:
A penis wider than it is long
They do, however, seem to be referring to the alternate definition of the "taint"; funnier if you don't know the alternate definition.

Beer drinker from the mid-west in South Dakota here, just fyi, Tomato Juice and Beer (Red Beer) is a common beer mix around here , a lot of times its also served with around 6 olives or so dropped in. Anheuser Busch actually came out with a canned version about a year back or so that is sold around here called Clamato. Just thought i would give you the 411 so you weren't thinking it was some exotic Japanese concoction. Ladies are the primary drinkers of the Red Beer it seems because it eliminates the bitterness of the beer that many tend not to enjoy. I've heard down south in the Florida region the mix OJ with their Beer, which i guess would make sense.

This episode was really good. Lots of tech stuff in this, and I don't really care what Alex and Kevin talk about. I'll usually listen. But when they get all tech nerd, I definitely keep my ears open. And wow 200 eps. I started watching at the Amsterdam episode, and I already feel like that was a long time ago. Props to Kevin and Alex and the fans that have been there since day one. Must seem like ages ago.
I think I would do Martha Stewart. She seems pretty hot for a woman her age. Some women her age look horrible, but she looks like she takes good care of herself. I mean... she probably cooks her own meals and whatnot. And she's kinda hot. Maybe. ...I think this was a mistake.

About the story on ThePirateBay guys. You really don't have a clue about this story.. First off, Swedish jail is like summer camp, especially when it's a economic crime, like this. They have to live in a institution with free dental care and really nice food. They will probably have open doors, so there won't be such a strict security. The probability for them getting "shivved" is about 0% and it will be mostly like a long vacation with the possibility of real university lectures. So they'll probably just live there, eat good and study all the time.
The case of TPB is btw. under supervision, the judge at the case had two positions at the anti-filesharing organisation, APB here in Sweden. So he had probably an own interest in the case, which probably will lead to a new trial.
They started TPB mostly to get up a discussion about the topic as our problem here in Sweden is that we don't want to pay such large amounts of cash for everything relating to culture, sure the authors should get paid, but the amounts of cash they are earing in relation to how low the surplus value is. What we want is the movie companies to open up affordable alternatives to us consumers which will give us a higher surplus value, or a lower price. We have very few online rental services, like netflix, here in Sweden, and all of them are crap. So we pirate instead of going to the cinemas or buying dvds over the counter.
Sorry for that America, but the laws at your side of the Atlantic ocean aren't applicable here, and our own laws are still pretty kind.
Actually we got a new law, IPRED, which the TPB-guys were convicted under. It states that the ISPs in Sweden must give out the information about the adress behind a certain dynamic IP, so the owner of a certain software knows who has been downloading/seeding. But there is no law that says a ISP has to keep the logs about it's users...
Thanks for a great and free show, as always.

While I was watching episode #200 I recall Kevin talking about the time he tried the beer and tomato juice drink. You should tell Anheuser-Busch that when they send your next round of Michelob cases to throw in a few samples of the Bud and Bud Light Chelada (Beer with Clamato) with them!

The Pirate Bay verdict might need to be re-done or w/e.
The verdict was leaked before it was publicly announced and even before the TPB guys knew the verdict so according to the Swedish laws the whole thing might need a do-over.
And even if they decide to not do the whole thing again. They will appeal the verdict.

Hey guys. I just watched the 200th episode (yeah i know, 2 weeks after everyone else).
Anyway, I just had one remark to make.
AUDI Vs. BMW.
@kevinrose The Audi R8 stands little chance against the BMW SAUBER Formula One car. http://www.bmw-sauber-f1.com/en/#/car/factsheet/
Nuff said.
