So after checking marvel's site it looks like Ultimatum #4 is supposed to come out on May 27th. Does anybody remember when #1 came out?
I understand delays can happen, but at this point a fill in artist would not just be acceptable but preferred. If I remember correctly (which I admittedly may not) Ultimatum started at about the same time as Final Crisis. Considering that had some hefty delays as well this is getting kind of ridiculous that a whole line of books is on hold because of one guy not being able to keep a schedule.
I see that Ultimate Spider-man is supposed to come out next week and then the last issue is 2 weeks after that. Other than that, no Ultimate titles look close to coming out since they all deal with the aftermath of Ultimatum.

Well, no - Final Crisis debuted in May 2008, Ultimatum in November 2008.
If the next issue does indeed hit next month then that will be four issues in seven months, which by today's standards isn't so bad.

@ Conor
lol then my memory is REALLY messing with my head.
Other than that though it does seem like something they would have put a fill in artist on by now.

Yep, this hasn't yet reached Planetary levels of lateness. Now if only Ultimatum can have a sixteenth of the fun and amazing storytelling as Planetary...

Planetary....wheww, ellis really has to buckle down and finish a book once in a while. From what I understand, David Finch is the cause of the delays....And I don't even like his art!
But, I am enjoying the series emensly.

Ugg Ultimatium has been a big dissapointment to me, Im not a salivating Loeb hater like many, but this has been aimless and pointless other than to thin out the Ult. Universe. *sighs*

My problem is there killing off all these characters but Marvel already told us that they were restarting the Ultimate Universe as soon as this event was done. So there no repercussions to the deaths.

Its not restarting in that way, it is more of a relaunch. The deaths will carry over from what I have read.

You're right, it's not a restart. There's a time jump and then they'll continue. Everything that happened in the Ultimate U will have happened.

This was Cassaday's "fault", and apparently the pencils are done now! So maybe we'll get Planetary #27 this year :)
