Comedy finally comes to Revision3...

According to a Wired article on Film Riot, Revision3's next show is ROFL, a standard-issue stand-up comedy compilation that starts May 11.

I for one am definitely looking forward to this. I think Revision3 has needed a comedy show for awhile (especially with the "recent" loss of Internet Superstar.)

It wouldn't surprise me if Rev3 doesn't do any promotion of this, seeing as it supposedly releases next week. I bet we'll see some cross-promotion when it doesn't do as well as expected (because they didn't promote to begin with)

They didn't do much in promoting JV's World... but let's not get started with that.

Sounds like a good idea, but I wonder how they'll keep having fresh content weekly, or even where the comedians will come from.

I am hopeful, but I have reservations. I am rather picky with my comedy; I only like what I consider to be wildly hilarious like ---- Clerks the Cartoon, Chris Farley as Matt Foley, and The Blues Brothers/Animal House.

If its not hilarious, I'm afraid I will have to pass (I know, I'm a tough audience :D).

I look forward to how they handle this. If it will be like the friday night comedy central special shows or more personal with interviews etc.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

One cool thing about this format is, if one or two episodes are mediocre, doesn't mean the next ones will be, because different change up in the cast everyweek. Good move on Rev3s part.

I don't necessarily follow politics but if a show could do it right, it could be a good show in my opinion. Just going off the politics section here in the forums I think a lot of people would listen and debate...

...but it would have to be presented in a "younger/hipper" way. if it was just a fox news regurgitation or something i'd skip it... but if it was like the daily show, bring it on! Man I wish I followed politics so I could do one now. lol
