Your comment was not necessary, it had nothing to do with the topic. Did you like JVsWorld? Yes? No? Not sure?

And I voted too early to tell.

On a positive note...has any other new Rev3 show gotten 34 pages and 337 comments about their 1st episode?

I hope not.
It doesn't seem to come with good things.

Well I think one thing was established. Revision3 DOES like to debate which means there IS a market for this sort of show.
haha
But seriously. I think the show can prosper and become a success given a sincere apology and interaction with the community.

I voted yes. And that's because I thought the show was an interesting appetizer for the other shows I love. I can't abide by the hate that has been spurned by some, so I stayed out.

jv has many listeners who have not signed up here... nor do they ever plan to... so what will this poll prove except the fact that there are quite a few regular forum posters who did not think his show was "revision 3" appropriate...
now, i'm sure if the same poll were asked in his fan forum, you would have an overwhelming number of people who say they love him...
so really, what will this prove?

Its like online petitions. WTF is this? High school and the "popular" girls are trying to get lowfat yoghurt parfaits in the school cafeteria? Lets create a poll!!
Don't like it?? Move on. Plenty of other things to do with your lives that don't involve bitching online.

We live in a democracy and as long as we keep it civil in the forums I don't see any problem with a poll. Of course it would have a different result if it was asked on his forum, but this community will make or break his show at first as we come to revision 3 every week if not day to watch shows. It seems that the support he gets in kinda strange to say the least.

no. it proves that the people on the forum that decide to vote may not like him... it doesnt mean his show doesnt get hits or downloads... how about one of the rev3 folks go and give us numbers on how many hits his page has received... how many downloads he gets... give it time... im sure the numbers will surprise you... and hey, if not, then im sure the rev3 people are smart enough to get rid of him...

Personally, I was not a big fan. However, I can certainly see potential in this type of material. I think that it needs some refining as far as production value (looking forward to episode 3 which is supposed to be done in the Rev3 studio) and presentation (if I want annoying full-screen graphics I'll go to some 24hour news network). I'm going to leave the content off the table at the moment, as, from what I understand, this was filmed a few months ago.
I'll give it a couple more episodes, looking forward to what a little Rev3 production value could do to it.
TL;DR: I'll give it some time, looking for some pretty big changes though.

Since emotions seem to be running a little high in here at the moment, I decided to post the reason for the ban in the forums.
Just to be clear, it was not done because their opinion differed from mine or I had a personal problem with what they were posting, but ...
creating a new account ...
and saying you are in NYC ...
when you are sitting in MA ...
on the same IP address as someone else ...
in a forum with a running flame war going on ...
Plonk.

I'm with Token on this one. Whenever this sort of thing happens, it's almost always the same person with two accounts. He should have been banned.
I don't get why people do that by the way. They're basically talking to themselves.

I think this is a show the viewer number should be made public not the first ep but starting with ep2. So much fighting from his followers and the revision3 community would be nice to see if the protests are doing any good or just helping boost his veiwers.

I'm very curious about this as well. This guy is a shock jock after all; he's not Mother Teresa or Billy Graham -- he's supposed to be controversial and confrontational.
I do get the idea that the guy played the Rev3 community like a fiddle.

Yea he is doing what he does best piss people off. Pissing people off saying controversial things is what made Stern so big. The more press someone like him gets good or bad the more fans he gets and then they never will go away.

It was okay for me. But it is too early to tell. I will wait about 5 episodes so he can get in the Rev3 studios and get comfortable there. That is when I will be able to have a Yes or No answer. You can't judge it on a pilot made a couple months back

the only legitimate explanation I could come up with...

I personally don't like the new show and it would appear that it does not have the same audience as other revision3 shows. However if JV can bring an audience and help make revision3 stronger as a company so be it.

I think the show would have worked, if he hadn't had such a horrible response to the community. That's what my problem is with him, not the content of the show. If the show isn't for me, which the first one wasn't, then fine I'll just not watch it like I do with other shows on Revision3. But when he calls out the people saying they don't like the first episode, insults them, and puts down everyone else that's when there's a problem.

Personally, I hated the first episode, so I voted no. The simple fact of the matter is, the content did not lead me to believe that it was too early to tell, it lead me to believe that the guy is an idiot and the show sucks (see page 39 of the episode thread for a more detailed and constructive critique).
That said, I will give it one more shot, simply to be fair. My expectations are low, I do not think it'll be any good at all, but I'll give it another shot. I figure I gave 24 another shot after a good chunk of season 6 sucked (and I'm glad I did, it's gotten really good again), I give George Lucas another chance with every single Star Wars movie/video released (I even went to theaters to see *shudder*The Clone Wars), and he hasn't put out anything good on film since the theatrical cut of Return of the Jedi. If I'm going to give him that much rope, it's only fair for me to give JV a second chance, but I'm really not expecting much (and it can't be worse than Capote the Hutt)

I think its a combination of things, i watch shows because i like the hosts they make or break shows for me. he was not interesting or likable even if his topic and delivery was changed.

I say we do that. lets start a poll over at jv's world wild 94 forum.
personally i didn't like the first episode but I started to listen to his morning show and got hooked. This JV you see is nothing like the JV on wild 94. I never even heard of JV until now but apparently he is a BIG DEAL on the west coast. it makes a lot of sense why rev3 wanted him. go listen to his radio show I'm sure you'd all change your mind about him.
