It's not just about him being a geek either (even though that should be a part of it) it's about JV representing Revision3, a company Brian gets some of his income and fans from, in a very very poor way.

Plus Brian gets the community and the fans - he's one of the few hosts who consistently posts on the forums and interacts with us. JV apparently does not.

I hope that too because if he gets involved, it'll probably just be bad for him. I think Brian's plan behind all this was just to offer a venue, or at least that's what I gathered from his post. Let's hope it turns out that way.

I don't think any of that changed out minds on JV I for one will never watch his show, we find it cool that they (jay and jim) came on. all jv did was sit behind his twitter ... when he could have called.

Yea I liked the bbliveshow. I'm also interested in seeing what the domain smack will do.

However, I still have reservations about jv's world. I'm still not convinced that a shock jock is going to make it here. But we will see.

it was a great show, but i am disappointed that jay couldn't talk about why the beta shows have been somewhat ignored, while jvsworld passed go and collected $200. i was also bummed that jim hadn't heard the audio yet either, though he did say he will listen to it on his plane ride tomorrow, so i look forward to what he has to say about it.

all in all, it was great to have a pretty civil open discussion about it, even though not all the topics were really touched on.

yeah, i agree. it was foul, it was aggressive/combative/and wasn't going to make anyone who didn't like his show love him.

but it wasn't hate speech, for it to be hate speech, he would have to have to dislike or hate gays. the 20+ tirade for people who were using this forum to hate him. there as very little real constructive feedback about the show. there was a lot of emotional stuff about past shows and the direction of rev3. that had nothing to do with him, but i was based on him and his new show. so he vented... not hate speech...cuz there was not hate.

Jv will bring in a bunch of new viewers because of his style/content/and current fan base. I checked out some of the beta shows, none of them seemed amazing to me. a few were watchable, some i couldn't finnish. Which would you have put up there?

I agree they are trying to get news viewers, its simple business. we feel that he and his show are not what they need to diversify it. i didn't have a clue who he was before all of this but it really left a bad taste for me because it seems he is actually like this in real life. i don't watch the beta shows so i can't give you an answer on that, they rarely move them to the main page. shows like coop that i really like just make it to the front with out it ... i think jv should have been tested in the beta he would have got better feedback.

my feedback has always been it wasn't about the graphics or even the lame topic. i don't find him interesting to watch at all he seems so condescending. he needs to drop the tough guy act it may work on radio but not for his show.

To be fair, I don't think that Brian has heard the entire audio from the night he bashed everyone. I think that his impression was that it never escalated beyond geek bashing and into hate speech. If it was just him making fun of geeks, at least that would have been humorous.
