first off, I am not a big comic book reader so I have some questions to ask. As a child i remember my mom buying me issues of the 90's X-Men comics and i kept them safely away in a X-Men themed comic book holder. Unfortunately, my parents had some work done on the roof many years ago and i had kept my collection in my attic. Since this my comic collection has gone missing and I believe it was stolen by construction workers. I would like to know if anybody knows where I would be able to purchase these comics or if its even possible. I have looked in bookstores but all i seem to find are full books. I remember buying thin booklet styled comics and reading them as a child. Also, I may be mistaken but i recall the comics having holographic parts to the covers of these comics. Can anybody help?
Well, your best bet is going to be to figure out what the issue numbers were. There are websites that have scans of all the covers for the series, so if you can only identify them by cover, then that's your way to go.
After you figure that out, your best bet will be one of two options: eBay or a comic shop with back issues.
People put all kinds of stuff on eBay and you may be able to find a bundle with the issues that you're looking for or find them individually.
Any comic shop with back issues will probably have what you're looking for. Keep your eye out for back issue sales at these stores. A store near me has 25 cent back issues twice a year. It's a great time to go in and buy back issues like that.
If these comics you had aren't "typical" comics, they may have been part of a promotion. The style of comic you seem to be talking about sounds like something that would have seen limited print and not really carried in normal retail places.
What might help people on the boards is if you could provide some pictures of what you're talking about. That may spark some "Oh yeah..." moments.
Hope this helps. :)

Yeah, that was one of the major X-events in the 90's. I don't want to spoil anything in case you've forgotten it, but it features a huge fight between Wolverine and Magneto. These would probably be pretty easy to hunt down.
I have no idea if that's collected in a trade, but the issue shouldn't be hard to find. If you go to eBay and type in "X-Men: Fatal Attractions" into the search engine, it should bring up those issues/collections.
It's probably worth mentioning that if you were looking for these for fiscal reasons, they're not worth much more than the paper they're printed on. Of course, sentimental value is incalculable.
