Video Ads need volume control

I totally understand you need to put ads that we can't skip or pause at the front of your streaming videos however the one favor I do ask is for you to put some sort of volume control on them. Nothing is more annoying then having to switch my system sound, which is set at the level I like, because there is a godaddy ad blasting through my speakers.

I have a related issue. It may not be the ads.
I watch 4-5 shows and find the show's volume to be extra low. All the small xvid video downloads have low volume and I need to crank my player's volume to almost max to hear them.
Whomever is encoding these shows needs to do some volume leveling.

A lot of people, including myself, have been saying this for quite some time but... :sigh: nothing has been done.

I can see why Revision3 wouldn't want volume controls, as it would lead to people just muting the adverts. Here's an alternative idea: let people lower the volume but only down to, say 10% - so they can have it quieter if they want it but still hear it.

I think that's a fair compromise.

That is not the reason. It is on the todo list. We're are busy with other projects right now.
