Hey everybody out there I'm an amateur photoshoper and like many of you I've lusted after the Wacom Cintiqs, but there a bit pricey. Well what I've found and have been playing with for the past several month is the KDS VisBoard. The VisBoard isn't as fancy as the Cintiqsbut you can pick it up for about $550 give or take. I got lucky and picked mine up for 375 off ebay.

The VisBoard is a 19" tablet screen(similar to the Cintiq), has 1024 levels of pressure, with a vga in and out(mean to be a pass through for a projector) and can be tilited to just about any workable angle. A couple of minor downsides is it does swival, no eraser function, no function buttons on the screen and the pen does require 1 AAA battery. Everything considered for an amateur like me it works very well and maybe an option for some of you out there.
