Flight Control

I bought a couple of the games featured on the show, and I have to say that Flight Control is totally rocking my shit.

My high score is 72 right now, which I just got earlier today. I love seeing games pushing the limits of the iPhone, but Flight Control is such a perfect example of how to make a wonderfully simple game that is perfect for the platform. Best $.99 I ever spent.

I love it when they recommend iPhone games. I got KarmaStar and Flight Control after seeing reviews on Co-Op.

Out of the two, Flight Control is the best bang for your buck i'd say. Highest i've gotten so far is 67.

KarmaStar is fun game but doesn't hold my attention as much as Flight Control. I love how different it is from all the other games though and the art style is unique and fun.

I've recently downloaded the Lite versions of the Crystal Defenders game from Square Enix. I have to say, they are quite impressive for an iPhone but the price point i'm iffy about.

Yeah I downloaded KarmaStar too, as well as Eliss. KarmaStar is definitely cool, and I like the challenge of trying to get as many points as possible in only 8 turns, but something about flight control just keeps me coming back. Landed 78 planes today, by the way.

Eliss is probably my second favorite of the bunch, what a great use of the hardware. There can be a lot to keep track of, but its kind of exciting more than stressful.

Someone needs to make a Rhythm Heaven type game for iPhone. I would eat that up.

I love fight control, it's so simple yet insanely difficult and addictive. So far my high score is 92.

I hope they continue talking about their favorite iphone games. I had never even heard of Drop7 until I saw it on the show. I checked out the lite version and its awesome.

Thanks to the guys on toucharcade I recently "discovered" a really cool new game called Last Cannon. Its almost a mix of Space Invaders and a color matching game. I highly recommend it and supposedly its going to be updated with online leaderboards too.

As for Flight Control its a really slick polished arcade game and I like it but it didn't grab me the way it did some people. Its fun to load up every once and a while but its not one I can get lost in.

Yes! Flight Control is pure crack, at least until I found Drop7.

The stars aligned for me on one particular playthrough on Flight Control and I got a high score of 111 which I'm not sure I can duplicate.

I also got Eliss but found it got way too stressful pretty fast.

This game is so addicting!! I started playing for a what I though was a few minutes and when I looked up an hour had passed. My highest score right now is 77. I hope to see a lot more iPhone reviews from the Area 5 guys.

Flight Control is epic! 61 is my highest score. I think the online high scores must be fake. I mean seriously....2000? Wtf.

I love this game, and probably never would have picked it up if they hadn't shown it off on Co-Op. Watching someone play it gives me so much more desire to blow 99 cents on a game than reading about it and looking at a handful of screenshots.

I can't get my score about 63, though. Gotta get on that...

I actually saw this on CO-OP and thought aboot going to buy a iPod Touch but then I thought, "wait a minute, I don't have that kind of cash..."

Really looks awesome and incredibly simple yet, can get REALLY hectic in a *SNAP*

I love the iPhone/iTouch previews/reviews they do...For such a minuscule platform, there are some daimonds in the rough...These guys find 'em...

ugh i can be get to like 40 on this game, maybe because i only play it in very small time frames(like on break or something) but it is very fun and i do keep coming back to it unlike other iphone games....

I love the iPhone game reviews too, simply because there are SO many games out there for the iPhone, that more often than not the best ones out there don't hit the Top 25 or Top 50 pages, thus most people, including myself wouldn't know about it.

Flight Control does indeed rule, and has the perfect price point as well. To be honest, the iPhone game library that's out there now has me regretting dropping coin on a PSP because whenever I'm out and need to burn a few minutes I always fire up one of my many iPhone games that collectively cost about the same as two of my PSP games.

I'm so glad Co-Op is doing iPhone games too. Wouldn't have found Flight Control otherwise probably. Fun game, looking forward to more reviews from them. Gonna get Drop7 too.

on the new battleship i did get 20 which was insanely hard and i have not gone back and played the first level again so maybe that helped...

yeah, the three maps are definitely easy, medium, and hard. You can tell which is which just from my high scores:

Original: 98
Hawaii: 158
Aircraft Carrier: 63

I love the additional maps. Hawaii is more relaxed, and Aircraft Carrier gets you straight into the madness. One thing I don't like about games like this, is that sometimes they force you to grind mindlessly till you get into the interesting part. The aircraft is prettymuch like setting Tetris to level 10 and hitting start.

Also, I don't know if it was there before or not, but I love having the fast forward button in the bottom left corner. I definitely use it on the original map now up until the first jumbo jet appears.

Looks like they added two new airfields: Beachside resort and an a aircraft carrier.

Five new aircrafts.

A button that allows you to fast forward and online leaderboards.

Same people who made Flight Control also make an awesome racing game called "Real Racing." It has a high price point at $9.99 but worth it when you consider how much content (maps, cars, challenges, etc) are built into it. Great use of the accelerometer and would highly suggest it is you want a quality racing game. Just check out the reviews for it. Sucks the battery though. May be because I have a 1G though.

new update includes multiplayer...I have not tried it but figured its cool they are still updating :D
