Obviously not the best show of the convention season but my local show so I'll be there.

How about you?

Not the biggest Ennis fan so don't care too much about him being guest of honor again.

Excited to get art done by Kevin Maguire, the Tiny Titans guy, Shane Davis, and JG Jones.

And of course lots of 1/2 off trades and hardcovers.

Tryna meet up? I can tell you where real Philadelphians go for cheese steaks.

Yeah I will be there on Sat only. Im down for a meet up at the con. There are actually a bunch of creators that I am excited to see. I am going to try and spend more time in artists alley this year than at the retailers.

If I do go....I would love to meet Dillion, Pak, Van Lente, and of course Virgil the wrestling superstar....okay the latter is not true.

Gonna debate this for abit...I would love to meet some of you guys down there.

You can get tickets close to the event no problem but you get a discount if you get them early.

Don't think you would have a problem getting tickets close to the event.

Side note - Best thing to happen at this Con was 2 years ago I saw a teacher I had in HS sitting by himself eating a hot dog rocking a super shitty Undertaker tattoo.

AH! PAT'S STEAKS. No, I stay away from both.

I thought you were referring to someone else on the board or something ha.

Tourists always go to one of those places or Jim's on South Street which is unfortunate because none of the three are very good IMO.

A lot of the best places are outside of the general downtown area, but there are a few in areas that tourists frequent. Most notably Sonny's Famous Steaks on Market Street in between 2nd and 3rd.

Well to tell the truth...I dont like either. I just wanted to be popular cause they're famous places -_-;

But a place I do love is Philly Diner on Frankford Ave. That was close to where I lived and it had some good breakfast.

Tony Luke's. Best cheese steaks in the city, IMO.

Ishkabibble's has the best chicken cheese steaks, though.

Now that you said that: I'm gonna have to tap you on the shoulder, then run away so you dont see me. Ah I'll do that all day :)

This year I kinda went all blitzkreg and spent an insane amount of money at the New York Comic Con, so its highly doubtful that I'll go to this one. Would like to go some other time, though, as the temptation of cheesesteaks is certanly a heavy one.

On a related note, since I haven't been to Philly too much, I've only had a cheesesteak from Geno's. There, I said it. Go ahead and stone me, I know I'm the inferior one.

You have to be kidding me. Geno's has absolutely nothing on Pat's. Pat's Steaks are by far the very best of any out there. Geno's has just somehow manage to keep going over the year's.

Maybe more celebrities go to Geno's then Pats. Or maybe cause it's more awesomer-er.

Yes Awesomer-er isnt a word.....but who's gonna question that? No one that's who.

I'll be driving up to Philly from DC on Saturday. It will be my son's first convention. He's a three year old, the convention seems to conveniently concide with the weekend my wife is out of town on a trip to NYC. Should be fun, even if this isn't the biggest year for this con.

Getting ready to head out for day one. Not sure what other days I'll be there, but if you see me, stop and say hey! As always, I have iFanboy stickers.

Just look for the beard. (I probably won't react like this though).

Just got back from the Con and it was an amazing fun time. Joe Kelly wins the nicest guy in comics award ! The Ennis/Dillon retrospective was so entertaining and it was good to hear some insight on the creation of my favorite comics. The Marvel Dark Reign panel was so dull it was painful but it was actually just nice to sit down for a while. I got a bunch of comics signed, filled some gaps in my mugg collection, then met Matt Serra and Tom Sevini. Capped the day off with a cheese steak from Tony Lukes and it was a wonderful time.

Just talking to him for 5-10 minutes was hilarious. We poked joked around him and he was just very happy to be there.
