View Full Version : Annoying Firefox 2.0.0.1 Issues Anyone?

Ok, for some reason after I upgraded to 2.0.0.1 (just over a week or so ago), I'm finding myself getting a lot of "Server Not Found" pages when I click links or open new tabs and type in URLs. When I get these pages served and click the "Try Again" button a few times, the pages eventually load, but what a pain in the @55 right?

After verifying that my ISP wasn't having issues and my pings were good, I finally realized it might be an issue with the new Firefox release and I removed it (reinstalling 2.0). Sure enough, the issues are gone with 2.0.

Now I'm wondering if this is all coincidental or if anyone else is having issues with the new Firefox. I really want all of the bug fixes and security enhancements, but not at the expense of this flaky web page delivery.

Check to make sure it's not being block by anti-virus programs. I had that happen when i was running norton. I just add firefox to the exception list. So you might want to check that out.

I was getting that for a few days but it has gone away by it self...

You can always go here and look around or post your problem...

Good looking out friend, thanks. For anyone else experiencing the issue, there's a huge freaking thread (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=502436&sid=929eb6f0b2a3d5c0b1bd00fc5fb170f7) on it there.

Hmm, I have Charter and my friends on the 3mbps plan get a lot of Server issues, but on bother IE and FF, I am on the 10mbps plan and get them once and awhile but not so much anymore. If you have Charter I bet its there fault, Try using IE for a little while and see if you have any server not found issues.

I have the Charter Pipeline and I don't seem to have this trouble.
