alright so let us know what you working with. model number and such. what kind of bios you running? it could be as simple as changing the boot order in the bios.

do this turn off computer
turn it on and hit F2 (or what ever key gets you to the bios setup)
look for a tab or option that lets you change the boot order of your machine. put the cd-rom /dvd-rom as the first thing on that list. then reboot with the cd in the drive.

if that don't work you could have burned the dvd wrong.

what i mean by that is instead of burning the iso as is you chose to make a data dvd and put the iso on that dvd so its just sitting in the disk file system as a file unbootable. what you want to do is double click on the iso file and your default burning program should pop up and just click burn.
