Anyone excited for this game? The demo just came out for the general public today. It's a pretty meaty demo, so give it a shot.

I wrote my impressions up elsewhere, but the gist of it is that I think it's going to be a solid game, and the movement of Cole is polished. Jumping and climbing works well, and the combat is fun.

It's getting pretty decent reviews so far.

I used to not care about it, but the trailers got better and better, and the more I saw, the more I wanted to play it. I like it a lot.

I can't decide whether to buy this damn game or not. I've been reading reviews which are pretty much ranging from 7/10's to 9.something/tens. I guess I'm gonna wait for the gamespot review, and I also need to check out the demo. I really hope they give it a good score. Like you, I pretty much didn't care about this, but close to release it has sparked my interest.

I haven't downloaded the demo yet, but from all the gameplay and talk that's going around it looks pretty cool. I'm going to play the demo and then decide from there. I hope it brings me back to my great memories of playing Crackdown. If this is anything like Crackdown then I'll be playing it all summer.

I have the demo on my PS3 waiting to be played...I'm not sure why I haven't touched it yet...
Seems interesting, and the buzz around it is high as Hell...I'll probably check it out later today...

Hey zabusan, where in NC do you reside? I'm about an hour west of Charlotte, small town called Maiden. Anyway, gamespot's verdict is in, 9.0.

I reside in a lil' place called Kernersville, it's a blip on the map between Greensboro and Winston Salem...
I'm actually hoping to be in Charlotte next year though, I have run my course through this place...Can't wait to be out of here...

This was on my radar after seeing the first E3 trailer. Been excited for the game since then and after playing the demo multiple times, I can safely say that this is one purchase I won't be regretting.

There's actually only been two 7/10 reviews based on Metacritic's collection. Everything else has been 8+.

Well with that and the 9 from gamespot, this'll probably be a day one purchase from me. Also, just put in an order for a white dualshock 3 on amazon, I needs rumble in my life.

I just played the demo, pretty darn impressive. The graphics are really nice and the gameplay is very enjoyable. Might pickup the full game.

I dug the demo, but I still don't know if I'll be buying the game or not. I'll be waiting for some more feedback on the title first.

I definitely can not wait to pick it up on tuesday. I reserved it last week at Best Buy and downloaded the demo that night. Also can't wait for a Co-op segment about it, as I'm sure it will be on this week's episode (or maybe the week after).

I've been completely hooked on the demo for the past few days, I've had 3 friends that picked it up.

I wish I wasn't a broke Animator, but with that said very awesome fluid animations. I loved seeing the recovery of him when he grabs a pipe and slides down a little, very good attention to detail, but the animation on the other characters are horrible or just non-existent. That's alright, it's actually not a big deal, I mean with a team of around 50, they have accomplished a tremendous amount. As well as a robust engine, able to handle so many effects with no frame rate low down. That's just based on game play video and demo game play but I'm sure the full game has way more to offer.

Totally going to be borrowing it off my buddies.

Hey, I have a friend in Toronto who is also an animator guy. Long shot, but do you know/work with Louis Vottero?

Mmm, the name sounds really familiar, I checked facebook and got nothing so probably don't. Do you know if he works in a studio or goes to school?

Saw your blog, good stuff, I loves me Playstation.

Did you get a chance to pick up inFamous though?

He works for a company, can't recall the name. I do know that he worked on Everyone's Hero, The Happy Elf, a bit of Veggie Tales, and Chop Socky Chooks.

I didn't get inFamous yet. Waiting for it in the mail from Sony Canada... I'm in no rush though, as I'm staying with family for the month of June, and I am lacking my nice LCD and surround sound. So July will be my month of inFamy.

Ahh, he must be working at Stars Entertainment. A few of my teachers at Seneca work there, might try getting a job there next year when I graduate, still doing the Animation program.

Good stuff though, I wouldn't want to be lacking my nice plasma and surround too but (not so) lucky for me it's with the family. Hope you enjoy the game when you get back to it (I sound like a promoter...).

I just bought my PS3 last night (traded in my PS2), and the first game I picked up was inFAMOUS. LOVE IT! It's a pretty simple game, you just run around looking for good or bad karma missions, and you gain XP by killing baddies, doing missions, etc. Knowing that I'm just a few missions away from gaining a new skill/attack makes me unable to put the controller down, I stayed up until 5AM playing. I just wish they included online multiplayer. I guess they'll leave that for inFAMOUS 2. Another downside is that the main character sticks to things too easily, but that's pretty minor since its too fun to even care about.

Congrats on the PS3, welcome to the awesomeness. I wish my first game was inFamous, i know what you mean about the stickiness, it is a little annoying but the rest of the game play just over shadows it with fun.

Was going to pick it up today while I was out, but noticed every store had it priced at $70, and the frugal college student in me popped out the iPhone and checked the Amazon price. Surely enough, $11 cheaper on Amazon, so I decided to wait and order it from Amazon to save some cash. Should be in the mail within the week, just in time for me to want to be checking out Prototype lol.

Been playing the game like crazy, really diggin' it. I just got to the 2nd island and have become pretty powerful, with all of these new powers it just keeps getting easier and easier to navigate your way around the city. One thing that I haven't heard anyone talk about is the game's score, I pretty much love it, sounds great in 5.1.

The score is nice, but I still wish they allowed a custom soundtrack. Trying to collect shards or complete sidequests can get stale, but throw on a podcast or two and I'd be quite entertained.

My friend was pretty pumped for the game, he bought it and played it non-stop. It is a great game, just wish they would make it for PC. They say Prototype is like it for the PC, however despite the fact Prototype is a great game...they really are different games in their own sense.
