I've been getting kind of obsessed with this game after hearing about it on Co-Op, Giant Bombcast and ListenUP. It's a super fun Tower Defenseesque game where you have to grow plants to defend your house against rampaging zombies. It's got really great designs for the plants and zombies, lots of strategy when deciding what plants to use and to top it all off it's hilarious. There's a demo on Steam and the whole game is $9.99.

i played the demo and it's pretty fun, but i don't really want to buy another game right now.
I've been playing it and it SO fun, it's a must get and I hope they review it.

Don't say tower-defense, it might put off some people! Even though I've never been interested in those games, this is one of the best new games of 2009, easy GOTY contender. Some of the most satisfying gameplay. And hilarious writing.
Anyone up on the roof? I'm at 5-3, and it's very hard:

i played the demo and it's pretty fun, but i don't really want to buy another game right now.
It's only 10 bucks or 7 British pounds! How thrifty can you get?!

lool nah i've got mid-terms so i don't need another game eating away at my life. my ds is alreadly taking up morning bus rides and in between moments of dinner and the return to study. anymore would probs lead to my GPA dropping to nothing
[Edit] i like that you put the British conversion, very considerate. it's like $12 Australian we call them "quid" i.e. it's only 7 quid, don't but such a bumhole.

Sigh, perhaps it was a "sale" that happened right after I bought it last week?
Anyway, great game - finished it in a few days and I am not doing all the mini and puzzle games in it.

I have finished the adventure section (and yes it does get very hard), and almost finished unlocking all the mini games and puzzles.

I'm now at 5-6, after you get introduced to your Zen Garden. I wonder what that's all about...

You collect plants and you have to take care of them.
Its sounds weird but thay give you money when you water them and stuff. Once you have heaps they become a nice little earner.
I'm saving up $80,000 at the moment for my 10 slots

Co-op was my avenue for finding this fun game as well. The TRS crew should really try this one and review it. I've finished all of the mini-games, except for the very hard Zombotany 2 and Wall-nut Bowling 2. I'm also having trouble with the Night(hard) because the Catapult zombies wiped out all my sunflowers on flag 5 so flag 6 is impossible.
Very fun, addictive game, highly recommended.

I've got over 100,000$ just from survival mode. I think gold farming is the way to go. I earn about 5k at a time on the first survival mode. (iPad version)
I've bought this game 3 times already. First the iPhone version because I don't care about the HD version of games. Then I realized that the iPhone version doesn't have survival mode so i got the iPad version.
Now it's on xbox and I got that one. Anyone else have it?

I first bought it on sale for $10 on my Mac and I pretty much finished everything. Then I picked up the iPhone version and finished it again minus a couple of achievements. Once I picked up my iPad I bought it again and finished adventure mode.
Now that it's on XBLA and Co-op has been introduced I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it a 4th time.

I hope that they at least change the ending in the Xbox one. I like the song but damn it give me something new. I also hope they have unlimited survival mode for all the levels. Right now the overall top Guy on the leader boards has 101 flags. I'm going to get that spot.

Easily one of the most fun and addictive games I've ever played. I just wish that I'd bought it on Steam instead of paying $20 at PopCap.

can we talk strategies.
I use the gloom shrooms upgraded. I read on this very thorough strategy guide that is your best weapon in survival mode but then I read on others to forgo everything and just concentrate on getting 8 cob cannons. 8 is the magic number of cannons to have since you can utilize them and when the last one is set off the others will be reloaded.
I wonder how the cannons work on the xbox.
