View Full Version : Fountain Pens
About a year or so ago I stumbled upon a very poorly designed website that had amazingly detailed information about fountain pens. Collecting them, taking care of them, learning how to write with them. Now that I actually have a fountain pen, I can't find it again! Anybody know what I'm talking about and can link me?
Anybody here write with fountain pens?

I have fountain pen envy.
As a left handed person, unless I start writing in Kanji or hebrew I am SOL.

I had a bunch of fountain pens and some papers printed out that detailed writing styles.. It was a fun diversion for a little while, but I never got into it all that much.

used to use fountain pens a lot, it's way more fancier and stuff but then i realised i was spending a stupid amount on pens. so i was like f it, use anything now, as long as it's like a thin kinda one? not HB but like 0.5.

The Penis Mightier
But does it work, man?!
I prefer the feel of most gel pens to ink.

whats weird is I haven't used a pen or pencil in a long time to do real work. I take notes on my laptop. I'll use a pen to fill out a laundry sheet at work, that's about all the hand writing I do.

I still do a lot of software design type work using pencil and paper.
My pencil of choice is a Bic Matic grip 0.7mm #2.
Why the Bicmatic? The plastic tip was a perfect stylus (with the lead retracted) on my old PalmOS devices ... and some habits die hard.
I still have a hard time with the "#2" concept, since I came from a B, 2B, H, 2H type culture.
