Annoying error keeps popping up.

After the upgrade to the forums i keep getting a pop up box with "Internet explorer cannot open the Internet site blah blah blah" then the already loaded page disappears and the IE "IE cannot display this page" page appears.

I've tried this on several computers at work and the same thing happens. It's beginning to drive me mad.

What exact version of IE are you using? I've not yet been able to reproduce this in 7.x

I'm getting the same problems. Numerous refreshes required before I could actually post this.

On IE 7.0.57.30.13 hope this helps.

Hi I'm running IE 7.0.5730.11, The error is constant, and only happens on this forum. Sometimes the forum page will crash and when trying to close the window the message "window is busy" pops up.

Any thoughts ?

Its the ads.

I get the same issue in IE as with Opera (10 Alpha), except in Opera no popup message, just a lockup on the page, unresponsive hyperlinks, and a need to refresh the page to continue.

When I run the inbuilt ad block in Opera, it just deletes access to the sites that rovide the ads, and I still get the same error. If I run the ad block greasemonkey script, i alters the HTML and removes the code when the ads run, and I dont get the error.

My conclusion? The HTML surrounding the ads is borked.

Just tried the forums on Firefox 3.06 much more responsive.


Figured it would be the ads.... or some sort of link problem...
