Hello. I have my computer connected to my Sony Gran Wega 50 inch LCD Rear Projection HDTV. The native picture leaves the edges off but after using the display resizing tool I am able to shrink the picture but it leaves about 2-3 inches of black screen on the bottom because the picture's center is off. I have the nvidia geforce 250 video card. I have also tried the scaling option on the video card control panel but it is grayed out and won't let me change it. The tv has a vertical centering option but it too is grayed out. I have searched the internet and found a program called powerstrip which has options to center the page but when I click on the arrows to pull screen down the picture flickers and does not pull down. I figured that my tv just won't allow the screen to be pulled down. I looked at the different timing options too but I'm not tech savy enough to messed with it. I'm afraid I'll damage something. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I think you haven't answered the most important question - how are you connecting the two together?

Yea I guess that's kinda important:) I connected the tv to the computer with a dvi cable. Any ideas?

this is usually done on the tv side of things. There's usually a menu section on the tv that will allow you to adjust the center. Also, sometimes (like on my philips) the picture can be centered using the remote (the redial dial on my remote for instance).

The menu on the tv does have a centering option but it is grayed out so I can't adjust it. I even looked up my tv's resolution on sony's web site which is 1366 x 768 and manually entered it in the nvidia control panel but when I tried to test it a message popped up stating the test failed. I'm out of ideas.
