Very Good Episode, I sense a streak for our intrepid heroes. It was great to see David Calkins getting some recognition, glory, and beers....(I guess show viewership sets a "pecking" order at Rev3).
As good as the show was, it was a bit sad to see the backdrop and sets of fallen Revision 3 shows behind the guys.
I have to say I'm still a bit apprehensive to see the next Diggnation.
Anyways great canter, and lol moments !!

RE: Management & Customer Service
As someone who was once a part of management at a big box retailer, and continues to work in the same industry doing much of the same work... Being a manager sucks, despite the somewhat better pay and the higher rank within the company. You have to deal with associates that don't want to work, don't know how to work, not to mention your fellow managers who may be just as incompetent as those on the very problem. Then you have your own bosses, who are often operating at the highest levels of idocraty (made it up!), suckling from the teat of corporate nonsense. If it weren't for the fact that many of us are committed just to having a job at this point, chances are, we'd much rather be doing regular stuff otherwise. Anyway...
Throwing angry customers into the mix who are complaining about "simple" things just complicates the problem further. Yes, we all KNOW how dumb it is that we can't do X for Y, and yes, we all know how angry you are about it (because we dealt with that problem 20 times before that day), but the fact of the matter is that if we let you, or anyone else do it "just once," we have to let everyone else do the same... Not only does that put our policies at risk, but also our jobs.
So, my point?
Yeah, I know you don't like it. We don't like it either. But give some of us a break... We're working just as hard as you are to keep not just customers happy, but also our employees, and our bosses as well.

idocraty (made it up!)
You mean Idiocracy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/)? http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/confused/ne_nau.gif jk
I didn't work directly in customer service but managed a few people who did... The small problems they dealt with, but the big problems usually made it up to me... I have a very laid back mentality, about everything (which isn't necessarily good for a company sometimes) and I would just give out some products I had laying around in my office to make the customer happy. I had great customer feedback which in turn made them repeat customers, which made my bosses happy. They took me out for lunch/dinner/drinks almost every week. Of course we had such HUGE profit margins on our products, giving stuff away was not a big deal. Something like a movie ticket or something when the margin is exponentially smaller I can understand you can't give to everyone. But at one point I had close to 20k (retail) of merch at my house I wasn't afraid to hand it out like candy... It all depends on the merchandise in question I suppose...
Does anyone know where you can find that video of hippie glenn jumping off the roof into the pool?

My god, I haven't even finished the episode and have already been blown away! This is definitely my favorite one in the last few months. I was chortling so much that I had to pause it for a few minutes to rest.

These past couple episodes have been fantastic.
Hippie drinking the beer off the robot had me laughing so hard.

Yeah, it was great to see him do that. I never would have pictured him to be the "daredevil" type of person, especially after hearing about the funny roof stunt he pulled.

My brother is a supervisor at an AMC that has one of those theaters. And I have to say Kevin, Alex, & the story were wrong about a few things.
First off they are in fact called Mini-max. The one at my AMC 30 has a 40 foot screen that takes up the whole wall. The screens, sound system, & projectors are all from IMAX. The ticket price is $4 higher than a normal ticket.
My brother actually asked about what went on and the mangers inquired. Aziz(sp?) stayed for the whole movie. Once a person does this there is no way a manager can give any type of refund. That money now belongs to the studio and not the theater. At one point he actually said to that manager "Have you heard of Twitter?" in a snide voice. Normally they do not even offer to give drinks or pop-corn.
The most pathetic part of all of this is that Star Trek was not shot in the IMAX format at all. It's an converted print, though it looks amazing.

I saw Star Trek on one of these "mini-max" screens. Sure the screen wasn't gigantic, but it was very easily noticeably larger than a standard screen. Also the sound quality was ridiculously awesome. Worth an extra $5 per ticket? Overall, no. I'd say $3 would be fair.

When Kevin mentions that Mix Master Mike came to the screen savers, I couldn't help but tell that I was at that filming, sitting next to Woohoo Guy!
Got to hang out with Kevin, Alex, and Yoshi after the show.
