Keep it up guys, most shows don't show this much promise in the beginning.

Yeah the first episode def hit the yard running(is that the right thing to say?)

Everything was a plus in this episode, the animation/editing/cast everything nothing really bad to complain about.

Normally i have an issuse with first eppys(i love Co oP but it didnt start off as awesome IMO but has become great as episodes have came out)

I could easily see it just getting better with length and more detail. but keeping the right amount of skit/comedy might get hard for them?

Hope they keep up the awesome work.

Holy shit this is a great show, I hope you can keep doing cool stuff and all this effects and editing. (takes a lot of time though)

Please make the show longer and Rev3, put your resources on this show to keep it high quality! :)

Best new show on rev3 in quite a long time... really great work. I'm looking forward to more.

This is the best thing to happen to aspiring filmmakers since BackyardFX. And since Indy Mogul < Revision3, Film Riot takes the cake. I love the difference between the lightsaber episodes.

BackyardFX said "there's a million places to find lightsaber effect tutorials, so we'll focus on the build."

Film Riot said "there's a million places to find lightsaber build tutorials, so we'll focus on the effect."

I just found that funny.

Definately a fantastic show. Needs to be longer though. Granted I'm not sure atm if the frist ep was teaser-length or actual-duration but the technical side, the After Effects work et al, will need more love time-wise for the show to really click for me.

I'm a web developer with designs on moving into Film myself. So I'm really glad Rev3 delivered a show for my not-so-little demo of wide-eyed, wanna-be film producers. A bit more focus on the technical side of things and some of the wider topics (generating funding, finding distribution, writing for a guerilla-filmaking budget etc..) would hook me completely. Some of that is outside of the show's stated focus but I think would add the final touch to make it truly great.

Still, I'm on board, great show.

Total agreement here! I've liked a few of the newer shows to come out lately, but this one I think I will love!

Great people, great subject, great production quality, all around great! Can't wait for more eps.

I supposed I'd agree that a little bit longer on the length would be nice, but I'm satisfied with it even as it is. ("There's definitely an innuendo in there somewhere") ;)

I love a bunch of Revision3 shows and will continue to be a loyal subscriber of them, but Film Riot is BY FAR the best produced and most professional show on Revision3. I mean...WOW! Now, given the topic of the show I suppose it would have to be, but I cannot state how absolutely impressed I am. Won me over from the first episode.

The only thing I'm sad about is that, by comparison, it makes some of the other Rev3 shows look like a few random college kids grabbed a camera and shot an episode after class. (I realize that's probably not that far from the truth.) I hope that some of the creativity and quality I'm seeing in Film Riot rubs off on other Rev3 productions.

That said, the actual CONTENT of the show is great too! Some of the material goes by fast (which I realize is so the audience isn't bored...we're not watching Bob Ross paint here), but some well written show notes can easily help with that.

I'm not planning to put lightsaber or phaser effects in my podcast or chop off hands (at least not anytime soon), but the techniques are still interesting. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until something comes along which is something I CAN and WILL use to make my own podcasts better.

Ryan, keep up the excellent work.

...and Rev3... THIS. We need more of THIS. When you're looking for new shows, THIS is the quality, professionalism, and creativity that your viewers are looking for.

Film Riot has quickly become my second favorite Rev3 show behind TRS but if they keep up this level of LPM (laughs per minute) FR will easily become my favorite. FR has raised the bar for everything else on Rev3.

I hardly have a want to produce video's but these guys are entertaining enough I will be tuning in for every episode.

This show rocks.

Promote this show over all other new Rev3 shows.

Point out how entertaining this team is, let alone the fact they point out how to do some pretty sweet stuff.

ITS LIKE BEING ABLE TO DOUBLE SCOOP FROM THE HALLOWEEN CANDY BOWL!

Love this show! After two episodes I'm hooked. Shot up to my top three shows, right next to Tekzilla and Systm!

As a long time horror/sci fi fan, I grew up watching a lot of movies with great special effects. I've always been intrigued by behind the scenes portions of dvds, and television shows, simply because I love to see how it's done. I've never dabbled with vfx before, but I have dabbled (albeit VERY lightly) with foam latex, and practical effects. I've even got to meet and drink with Tom Savini. One of the coolest mofo's out there.

Anyhow, I'm going off on a tangent. I love the show. This is the only Rev3 show that I've loved from the moment of inception that's still on the air. (I was a bit late to the party with Diggnation and it took me a while to get into TRS).

Anyway, keep up the good work!

It's true. Revision3 has really stepped it up with Film Riot and CO-OP. Amazing quality shows. They have got my eyes.

More batman please!

Perhaps someday you can branch this show off into like a variety comedy show or something, like every thing it is now, but without the how to's.

Or not, I'll still watch :)

while I was on the forum dumping out my anger over the Systm format change I though I would level my karma a bit by praising your show. It's one of the best new shows I've seen on the network

That's one huge difference between TV and Internet TV... people actually talk about/enjoy the commercials. Good job Film Riot!
