The schedule also works for me as I can enjoy the xvid version of the show at home and then still have enough time to prepare to leave for work at 5:30PM Central time. The workstations here at work are heavily locked down and there's no way to even view a .avi file here. That being said, I think it was a great episode and I support all of the hard work being done here.

ok, maybe im steping on toes here but

trey stone and matt parker got it right......"we just want our show to be seen" (paraphrase)....rev 3 seems to have gotten too corperate.....jay wants to track all the downloads he can so he can get sponsers......but isn't illegal downloads getting people to come into rev 3 to check out all the other shows? The more people that see it=the more popularity? Maybe i dunno, im a pharm D. major not marketing.......But it almost seems that if its all about the dolla now, which soon enough either will make them a shitload of money or destroy them......I mean through the story they had, comedy central probably doesn't like them (trey and matt) saying this shit cause they lose money ever person that doest watch the show on tv......but this isn't tv and i understand that, but it still seems silly....preach that illegal downloads are bad (dirrect quote) "stop putting words in alex and kevins mouth", and then make money seems to be the idea of rev 3 now :S ......

i am paying 10$ a month (120$ a year), and do it for support...but when they start getting to corperate i might stop......ie...stop paying for cable and just download tv shows......

Oh did **** trey and matt they are a bunch of stuck up bastards. they dont just want their show to be seen they want to make bank off of it but they arent idiots. They seem the impact that streaming video has and overall it creates more buzz and interest in a show if the creators let it slide then if they try to act out against it. They know if you try to control it there will be a large backlash even when the most loyal of fan bases. So instead they let the big wigs at Comedy Central/Viacom due their thing and get rid of it. All while Trey and Matt maintain there "Pro Piracy" stance regarding their works.

Also yeah Rev3 has started to become to corporate and I have pointed this out a couple times in other threads that ended up being locked but... BLAH!!!

There is actually some background to the "soy makes you gay" claim. Soy contains a chemical that acts like estrogen, called Phytoestrogen. There are some claims that these can lower the amount of testosterone in men, and do harm to women also, but nothing is for sure and there are studies that argue both ways.

It kind of surprised me that Kevin just dismissed the Zune without even trying it out or agreeing to try it. I guess it really shouldn't have, considering the Zune and many other MP3/Video players usually get stomped out because people apparently are soo obsessed with iPods to possibly see a better product. Not saying the Zune or any other player is a better product, but a lot of iPod people are, as sad as it is, turning in to the few people I knew that have Macs. They just can't accept that there could be a better product for what they want to do or they feel they have to defend themselves at every turn. I have one friend that even the mention of a cool new Windows App I find, he HAS to comment about what product is similar too it on Macs... it gets old fast... So in conclusion, if Kevin reads this post. Dude, don't be a douche. Try stuff first, don't just assume it's inferior because it's "not an iPod"

I've heard incredibly mixed reviews of the Zune even from the old TTV crew...

Leo on the InDigital episode was vehement about how bad it was, and Alex seems to love it... I'd like to hear a bit more from Kevin and Alex about it without the need to yell about it :P

Ok I wrote out a nice review for the Zune and I am in favour of it but...

Getting video on the Zune is a pain. First you have to encode it to a format that the Zune Player will take, then the Zune Player re-encodes it for the Zune, then it syncs it up. The worse part is that if I encode the videos to what the Zune plays 320x240 WMV blah blah blah the Zune Player still converts it before it syncs it up.

Outside of that, I still love my Zune more then the iPod. Oh, the Zune software is annoying and only two steps away from Bloatware. But the player itself is awesome :D

I chad a choice between iPod, Zune and other mp3 players. I choosed Cowon iAudio X5L and I don't regret it.
It has pretty much everything except the WiFi feature (but the WiFi in Zune is so crippled that I doubt anyone will find it useful). It has an USB port allowing to connect with other devices, so not only I can swap files with other iAudio users, but I can also connect other devices such as cameras (it can also view pictures and text) etc.
I can also record sound from radio, and line in. When I connect it to a computer I can also access the harddrive, so I have 30GB of portable storage.
No need to instal any software etc. No DRM, long battery life and has pretty much everything the other mp3 players have to offer except (as I mentioned before) WiFi capability, which is currently useless...

As for pluging player to 360, iAudio has line out, so I can plugin it to pretty much everything.

Also the qualiy of the sound is awesome.
Ah, and it also supports OGG, DivX and XviD

I agree, Zune is currently better than iPod (in terms of features, if you like nice look, iPod is the way to go) but there are other mp3 players, some of them are actually superior (I'm not saying iAudio is best, but to me it is much better choice)

Anyway, is it just me, or is Diggnation getting better by the week lately? It seems like each week, the episodes just get better and better. And they've all been 50+ minutes too, which is cool, because that typically means they're actually talking about the stories and aren't just reading them. I think most people would agree that the main attraction of the show is just watching Kevin and Alex interact... I don't care if they cover 3 stories or 8, as long as they're enjoying themselves.

The show has since run into the ground, but over a year's time we interviewed some great guests: Wing, JibJab, The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, Steve Burns and even a guy who sells Lutefisk.
