I wrote a script recently that's probably way over my head in terms of effects about a group of people who have "powers" but details aren't really important so I was wondering if maybe with alot of super hero type films coming out lately i could get help with things like making someone look like they turn invisible, or a cheap way to make someone look like they move a car, flying, etc. any advice help would be greatly appreciated.

And great job with show guys I think you guys rule!

Flying can be done on a green screen easily, though doing it well is harder.
If you have a displace effect then invisibility is dead easy you take a clean plate and the same plate with the actor acting on and then do a displace effect between them.
But you do have to then green screen everyone in who you don't want to be invisible.
It's hard to explain and I would like to see an episode on how they do it too.

http://www.youtube.com/waywordson256 did some good tutorials on flying and x-ray vision and also one on Invisibility.

For moving a car, I think the best way to do it was the way that it was done in the fanfilm "Grayson" with camera tricks, where you hold a toy car nearer to the camera and have your actor do the motions farther away. For close low shots, Make friends with a mechanic with access to the car lifty-thingy...

What about:
A: Have someone in the car (out of shoot) driving it.
B: Do it on a clear day (no clouds) and just blue screen out the sky (it works really well)
C: Just have the actor push the car (with no one in) and pull it with a toe rope from another car.

Just some ideas.
