Do you think we'll have a boy or a girl?

On Monday we got a gender prediction at the nuchal translucency ultrasound. A bit early to have any certainty, though the tech and the physician both thought it was a...well, we're not saying! I've had so many appointments and ultrasounds right now that I dread any more. Nine ultrasounds and I'm only 14 weeks and 2 days along.

I believe in my heart we lost a girl (remember this pregnancy started off as twins), and I believe in my heart this one is what the tech and physician said.

So anyway, do you think we will have a boy or a girl?

they say that moms have a closer relationship with sons and fathers have a closer relationship with their daughters. For your sake I hope it's a boy but if you've already got one of those then I hope it's a girl just to round things off.

I come from a house of 2 boys and 2 girls, I'm the oldest Boy and I've got a big and little sister as well as a little brother. My mom says she had the roughest time with the girls. Which I really didn't get until recently. My sisters never got arrested, been to rehab (funny story), or had to go through anger management twice. My mom always said through it all we never got mad at her, yelled at her, or anything extreme like that. My sisters on the other hand where always fighting if not with one of us, it was with my mom.

I've been living with my big sister for the past 2 years to help her with my niece and I gotta say it's been awesome watching her grow up. I also have a nephew who is a bit older and I had the pleasure of watching him grow up and I got to say if I had a daughter I'd be totally stoked.

Arggg... ok... I decided to ask this question after 2 drinks... I have seen a previos post of your about how desperate you were to have a kid... why such a desperate need to spawn? Yes sex is a biological urge... but so is anger and the urge to kill someone that fucks us over and thats wrong (supposedly).. but getting knocked up (in marriage) is rejoiced... the fact that the worlds population is doubling every 20 years and that there are already too many prople getting knocked up due to rape/incest and accidents along w/ zealots limiting Morning after pills, condoms and choice.... I agree w/ China's reproduction restrictions...
tho as a self serving, anti environmental issue.... hope people have 20 kids that can contribute to Soc. Security and keep it solvent til I'm in the grave...
Yes... perhaps I have been abit harsh in my word choices to make people think, but the idea is still sound... just because someone wants to spawn... should they?... just because I wanna beat a thieve's ass.. should I? well.. if a theif of a living person... I'd say yeah

last words... Octo mom now has 11 or 12 kids... rational minds might think that hopefully 4 or 5 people wont spawn to lessen the overpopulation. here's hoping.. ir need to care for something... plenty of puppies at animal shelters need homes... another sad subject

I saw a picture of Octomom out shopping and running errands. She was wearing some little, fancy, fashionable flip flops showing her ugly feet. Someone who has a gazillion kids ought to be wearing more sensible footwear like some New Balance Walking Shoes or Cross Trainers or something, even canvas slip-ons, sheesh. If she breaks a toe or rolls an ankle, then the CA taxpayers are gonna have to fork over even more for more nannies to take care of her brood.

As for overpopulation, yep, it's a problem. Too many dumb asses (who aren't qualified to raise a Chia-Pet) are having a disproportionate number of kids. But AriaStar is gonna make a great mommy.

By your reasoning, people shouldn't "spawn" because the irresponsible ones do it enough. Problem is this would mean that the only children born would be to the people who would raise more irresponsible people. You've got NO right hinting that there's something wrong with a responsible couple wanting a child. Dealing with any perceived overpopulation issue shouldn't be made to be the responsibility of responsible people. How about telling the Octomoms of this world to stop having kids instead of trying to say that a couple trying to have one child is somehow causing the problem? You may not want children, but that doesn't mean the rest of us are all automatically wrong for wanting to be parents.

Don't want us to have a baby? First off, go fuck yourself. Second, find a way to make adoption agencies adopt to people with extensive medical histories. I tried adopting with an ex. Due to my medical past, I was rejected AFTER a lot of money was accepted just to start the process. I was also rejected to be a foster parent. My ONLY way to parent is to have a child of my own. I should not have to justify my reason for wanting a child. That's none of your damned business if you're going to have the tone that I am the one contributing to the "overpopulation problem".

Thanks. :) This isn't my first pregnancy. I lost a baby ten years ago, then Cody and I lost twins in December, and this pregnancy started out as twins, and we lost one several weeks ago. If this remaining baby goes to term, it will be the first for both of us. It's been a hard road getting this far, and I am extremely high risk. There's a risk of death for me, a very real risk, not the teeny tiny risk most women face. But we knew the risks going in.

Making it worse is that I had the same procedure she did, only we only had two embryos transferred. I, and a lot of women who've had to have IVF, have come under fire and being told WE are the selfish ones for trying to have even one baby because of Nadya Suleman. Instead of placing that anger square on Nadya, it's being aimed at people like me. I've had people tell me they hope I miscarry for my selfishness, that I should "just adopt." Yeah, because adoption is affordable and no one with a medical history is ever rejected and the child can never be taken away.

Oh, wait, it's a total of $50k easily, an wealthy ex and I were rejected for my medical past, and I had an old friend who adopted her son out and got him back six YEARS later....

Nadya just had a tummy tuck. Guess who paid for it. Guess who's paying for her staff of EIGHT full-time nannies. Guess who paid for the nanny she got when she had just one child. Yeah, a full-time nanny for one child when she wasn't working. She does spend an awful lot of time getting spar treatments and manicures. Yet she's so damned broke and in need of help that she routinely dines at places that are easily $100 for two people. Radar Online has been filming a lot of this with her blessing. The proof is in the videos that she spends far more time away from all 14 of the children than she spends with them, and she even has the name of...her next daughter!...picked out. Nevaeh, Heaven backward.

Yet I'm the one who's wrong for wanting one child. I'm the one who's selfish for wanting one child. I'm the one causing the "overpopulation problem" by trying to have one child.


But AriaStar is gonna make a great mommy.
