Hi guys,
First off all, great show!
I an very interested in seeing how the intros (before the revision3 shows start) are made, what programs are used and so on.
Cheers,

I especially like the Film Riot intro and Systm.
so i already have some thoughts on that. and at the first chance i get i'm going to try and put something "helpful" together for anyone who is interested in the opener bumpers and how they're put together. maybe i can even get Eden Soto to help out. hmmm... i bet i can put that together. anyway, i'll keep all you lovely people informed as to when and where. but right now at the beginning of this there is just no time. thanks for being interested.
ooh, and for the Film Riot intro i used cinema 4d for the timeline portion using null objects to hold the 3d spatial data so that i could go into after effects and add all the flat 2d graphics like adam&eve and all the little stops on the timeline. and for the end portion where ryan comes in and starts his little talking part it was all just after effects. and of course photoshop is to thank for creating all the 2d assets i used. i hope for the time being that was kind of helpful... hahaha. but probably not

Yes! An episode with Eden Soto would be amazing. To me, Eden Soto is a god. Never heard from him, never seen him, but have seen ALL of his amazing work. He seems to be AMAZING at what he does. This would be epic.

Hahaha. I'll be sure to pass the message of being a God along to Eden. I'm sure he'll appreciate the kind words. I'll keep you up to date on the progress of this. Still figuring it out schedule wise. But my fingers are crossed just as much as yours are. As he should, he's been really busy lately. So I'm going to have to offer him some sort of gift or something to show our worthiness. I'll keep you posted.

I totally just posted this link in another thread, but I thought that it would be fitting here as well:
http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/all/
That website has a RIDICULOUS number of video After Effects tutorials. It has a lot of the head explosion type effects, but it also has a crap-ton of tutorials for creating title sequences and stuff. I hardly know anything about that stuff, but I found myself watching them for about eight hours one day because it was so interesting.

Wow, that's pretty good
Anyway, I noticed that in the Film Riot opening theme, it says "Park Jurassic", rather than "Jurassic Park"

Upon closer inspection, I think "Park" is a bit further along the timeline than "Jurassic." So if it's read as it's moving toward you, it reads as "Jurassic Park." At a glance it looks like Park Jurassic though.

Motion Graphics.
most editing suites will have an application that does it. personally, I'm into using Apple Motion 4.

I agree with everyone. This needs to be made into a tutorial. I would love to know how you did the intro. I am most interested in the second half that looks like it was done in After Effects nott the 3d timeline part (although this is cool too). I am looking to do something similar to this for a work project and there are NO tutorials anywhere on this.
Please help us all out.
Keep up the good work. The show is great!
