Ok so i boot up my Toshiba / Vista laptop and right when it boots up the sound it makes is quite disturbing and I wonder if there be a problem. Where it should do it's normal fanfare to tell you windows has booted up, it begins the music but as it's playing it sounds like it's lagging, it skips and sounds very sluggish... once it boots up it acts fine, and i don't have any problems running vista. I've installed all the updates and the latest patches for Vista so I am unsure what this problem is!

Can anyone help? (Where's call for help when i need it rofl rofl... i miss the old screen savers... thank God for Tekzilla and Revision 3)

The CPU is doing more important things than playing a bootup sound. If it disturbs you disable the sound.

This i understand... but it is abnormally lagged and slow. The sound to me simply indicates a possible problem that i am unaware of... The noise does not annoy me what annoys me is if it is as i indicated, a problem that i am unaware of and need to fix before my computer reverts and gives me the fatal blue screen of death!

Thank you for your thoughts!
