I use a purse that is too small for a wallet. I've seen wallets bigger than my purse, truth be told. In the little compartment where I keep stuff I use for wallet stuff, I have some cash, receipts, business cards, and that's it right now.
We don't use credit cards at all, don't even have them. I have no idea where the hell my license is, though I think my state ID (I have both, and they're the same number) is in another compartment in my purse. I don't know.
