I used the Canon XL-H1 with a LetusExtreme 35mm adapter and canon lenses. (letusdirect.com)

Ouch. Those cost over 5,000 USD. I'm curious, were these purchased with Rev3's budget, or was it leased just for this show?

All my gear is owned by my company. It's gear that has been purchased over time.

I should have read your Rev3 profile. I had no idea you owned Triune. Why are the trailers private YouTube videos??

I am doing a ground up overhaul. Everything is getting upgraded. Triune is going in a great new direction. :)

I also own a Canon XL H1 however since I bought it I've gotten married I'm now without the funds to afford the adapter. Any other cheaper alternatives?

I have two lenses for my Canon 40D (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos40d/) photo camera that I'd love to us on the video camera.

There are other options out there, including some DIY stuff. Just google DIY 35mm adapter and you should find some good stuff.
