It's a theme show! Three open-world games released so close to one another, how could we not? Prototype, Infamous, and Red Faction fight it out in a cage match of awesome!

Hooray! New episodes. This summer got it right with gaming. Loved all three, though some more than others. Currently playing through Red Faction and I'm tempted to play through casual because I'm with Matt, plowing through the game feels a lot funner. I like how it's termed 'casual' and not 'easy' and they didn't throw an achievement for difficulty in it. It's like I can get away with it and no ones the wiser!
Why is it Episode 201? Is it a new format now?

Except everyone reading this..
But I'm totally with you, in Red Faction it is far funner to be able to run through the game as an unstoppable wrecking ball.

Yeah - there are some games where challenge is key to the experience.....but Red Faction 2 is essentially a nice big playground....and I don't wanna worry about things like....taking cover....and watching my health....I ... just.....wanna....blow....stuff...up.
Kudos to the devs.
Great episode too - keep it up!

Back in the 1Up show days the show was placed in seasons, each running about sixteen episodes (maybe broken up with This Is Not the 1Up Show) before a week or two long break. Co-Op is just continuing the tradition. Happy season 3 to all. (I count season 0 / season "finding a buyer/ figuring out how to fund this" as the first Co-Op season, you could also call this unofficial season 13 of the 1Up show if you want.)

Great episode as usual. Been playing the hell outta InFamous and having a great time with it. Surprised no one mentioned the music during the segment, it's one of my favorite things about the game.

Yay to the new season! Looking forward to the new episodes!
Great episode as always!
Thanks to this episode, I learned that I won't be getting Prototype, can't wait until I cop a PS3 for Infamous (among other things), and that holy crap Red Faction Guerilla is AWESOME. I downloaded the demo last night, and wow. Just wow. Totally blew away my expectations.

Great episode (as always!), it's one of the high points of my viewing week. I did skip the Red Faction segment though, as I've just started the game and didn't want to learn anything about it. I'll watch it after I finish the game =)
The prototype segment has some things a little wrong. There aren't just three missions to do under stealth, with an achievement for 1 and 3. Those achievements are for completing missions without letting the military raise an alert, which can be done by killing the soldier radioing for backups or strike teams. You can complete many of the missions without this alert being raised.
Alex did have a woman he loves (or loved)...her name is Karen Parker and she's in the game. Consuming people in the web of intrigue (while free roaming and during side missions) reveals much more about her and Alex.
I won't spoil anything about the story but there is a good reason why Alex is so unlikable. It's told in the game and is detailed further through consuming more people.
