In this episode, they never discuss S-Video cables, which are hard to find in lengths under 6 feet so it just seems mindless, not to mention I can't find any site that discusses the assembly of these cables. If anyone can direct me, it would be much appreciated.

try that...they mentioned this site on InDigital. They actually did say something about s-video cables. They're too hard to make because there's 4 wires. There's a lot of different types of cables...all your cabling needs.
