Why are certain shows not compatible with my iPod? Like CAC and thebroken and the Webdrifter? I'm using the feed directly from iTunes, but they won't play on my iPod. What gives?
-Josh
p.s. I love all the rev3 shows, I'm just curious.

Haha, dude, honestly, this we'll address later on, right now we're working on the forums. Glad you like the shows though :)

Yes, obviously the forums are much more important than the content...

Hah, no, I work on the forums, not content, but I can and will bring whatever problems/suggestions you have in terms of content to the attention of those who can make it happen. That's all.

Don't the feeds on iTunes work with the iPod?

They are in .mov in iTunes when they should be m4v like before...

Ok... The files we checked for compatibility are the .m4v files, as normal. I encoded them myself and tested them. Are the feeds on iTunes the wrong files? The 640x480s are just h.264s, the others are 320x240s (for iPod).

Yes sir. The iTunes files are .mov -- Believe me... I downloaded all the shows via iTunes to watch on my iPod and boy was I sad that they weren't the correct files. :(

I think Revision3 should show a little bit more love for 640 x 480 iPod compatible file. You know that those files WILL play back on any video-capable iPod right?

Almost none of the new shows are compatible with my 5G 30gb iPod. The broken, webdrifter, mysteries of science, none of em will sync. I get the message "the following file has not been transferred to your iPod because it cannot be played." That goes for most (if not all) of the new content. LOVE all the new shows; please let us know when the correct feeds are up -- it is probably frustrating to have some of the most popular video podcasts up on iTunes and not have them actually work on iPods.

I'm having the same problem with the same iPod.

We think we know what's happening.
It seems that our large h.264 feeds were replaced in the "storefront" when we refershed our stuff in the iTunes index. The other feeds are still there, just for some reasons those icons point to the wrong ones.
Ron/Crew are checking into this and we'll get it corrected with Apple. Sorry about that! We _did_ make .m4v's for everything and you can direct download them. We'll get them on the iTunes feeds as soon as we can get Apple to swap them back.
Thanks!

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I honestly thought I would have to download each episode individually. Once that gets done, Revision3 will be perfect!

Fantastic. The fact that I am so itchy to get all of my subscriptions fixed is but a testament to the quality of the shows. Usually, subscription errors are an automatic "clear podcast, send to recycle bin" move for me, but these new shows (and diggnation, as always) are too great not to wait for.

I have also noticed that the most recent new episodes don't seem to be updating on some of the feeds. It's not across the board, but the newest episode of systm (the makers fair) isn't on the iTunes feed.
