I'm using Firefox and I'm not sure if it's because I just installed AVG anti-virus on my computer, but Firefox won't let me open ANY external windows.

For example, the PS Forums won't work correctly because it opens up a separate window for smilies and I can't give feedback on N4G because of the same exact thing. In addition, I can't post YouTube videos on Social networking sites because they open up external windows as well to send them.

Anybody know how to fix this or if AVG might be the cause? When I click something that has to open an external window, it shows the Vista loading icon then nothing happens...

AVG likes to install it's 'link scanner' in Firefox to, you know, help you.

Yeah, I disabled it once with no affect, I'll try it again...

Crap, I've checked out everything. Tried disabling safe search, etc. Nothing... (Sorry for the double post...)

You're absolutely right Xibalba, thanks. I figured I could just disable the add-on in Firefox and it dodn't work, tried uninstalled it and now everything is fine. Avira, here I come. :D

THANKS! :)

One thing about Avira is when it updates a popup saying buy the pay version everytime. You can block it but I don't remember how at the moment. I'll look it up if you plan on using it.
