Guys and Girls of the TRS forums,
I hope you don't mind me asking this of you but I have been running a website for the past couple of months and I'm at a point where I need to decide if I want to continue, or if I want to just give it up. It’s a Video gaming, TV, Movie news and reviews site taking all the best bits from various sourcing, including Rev3 and putting them in one place. A good point of reference, I think for people like you and me.. If I could just ask for your honest opinion on my site I'd very much appreciate any feedback you could give me.
I hope this is in accordance of the forum rules. But I really need an opinion outside of my immediate gaming buddies:
my website is : http://www.videogamingnewz.com
Many thanks for any help you can give me.

Keep giving it away for free. People will come eventually.

Thanks. I think thats what i'll keep doing in the hopes that people will like it, bookmark it, and keep returning to it.
Can i ask what you thought of it?
Any other feedback is very welcome.

The banner up on top is pretty low res so if you could get that updated it might help the feel of the sight.

The logo im working on, well a designer friend of mine is working on it. As for the menu's I kind of had that in mind although i wanted to get more content on the page first to have something to put in each field.
Thank you very much for your suggestions guys. anyone else have any?

i love the title... very watchmen-esque
i never knew how little TV and movie news i've been feeding myself (didn't know new pictures for iron man 2.. or that matthew fox even mentioned season 6)
my constructive criticism as far as cosmetics go (hopefully) is to:
- seperate articles (maybe with a horizontal bar or more spacing)
- that when you post up a img/youtube video, that you distinguish your post with the link ... (the batman: arkham asylum is an example .. [your text is white but the video's title is also white and it may deter readers eyes])
- i would use a slightly bigger font or a font that isn't so smushed (i don't know if this will make the text ugly looking but it may be worth looking at)
- copy and paste is ur worst enemy.. you have 2 "Red Faction to get FREE DLC?" (i do this ALL THE FREAKING TIME!!!)
i hope i didn't sound pretentious...
i love the things you are highlighting in ur blog :D

I would suggest maybe creating a categorical archive of the articles, possibly with tags as well. Maybe also, center the whole thing - it may just be the computer I'm on, but everything is aligned to the left and it seems to annoy my eyes for some reason.
Also, menu on top = definitely.
And as much as I hate to sound like f'n Diggnation - maybe give Squarespace a try if you can afford it, it's actually very easy and I absolutely love it.

I've just finished another update to my site and was wondering your thoughts?
I have taken onboard what people are saying about a menu system and I have a guy working on it. In the future I plan on having comments for articles as well as a 'build your own gaming profile' section but at the moment I’m just fine tuning some things.
I really appreciate all of your feedback and I ask that you keep it up. It’s what will hopefully make www.VideoGamingNewz.com a worthy bookmark someday.
Many thanks for all your suggestions.

Just checked out your site. Looks like it could use some help graphically. Its one thing to get people to your site and another to get them to stay (or better yet) return. I would suggest using screen shots or photos to add more interest. Hope this helps.
