So I just found out Monday that I get to take a week paid vacation either this month or next month. Instantly my mind went to Comic Con. I got all excited, as I have been to Wizard World Texas plenty, but never the real San Diego Comic Con. So I am making plans in my head as I start to look up info on the event only to find that it is already sold out. Ugg.... I am so bummed!!!

Now I can't even think of anything else I wanna do on my vacation. I was totally gonna come watch the taping in room 7B or whatever it is :P

Anyway, got any geekiness getaways that you can recommend now that my Comic Con dreams have been dashed.

If you're vacation applies to next month I think PAX is next month. I really want to go to that slightly more over comic con. I think Comic Con would be a bit more overwhelming. PAX just sounds like a lot more appealing to me.

Thailand actually scares me a bit I think, expecially as I like to travel alone most of the time. I did look at plane ticket prices for some out of country flights. Suprisingly enough, I found round trip tickets to London for between $400 & $500, and yet a trip to Kazakhstan was over $2000.00.

I may just go to San Diego and use my ninja skills to get into Comic Con.

make sure those flights are legit. I saw in the news a few years back that a bunch of people got scammed out of money because this website was selling cheap tickets to hawaii but it turns out it was all bogus.

i did a little binging (kevin is right, Ill never get use to saying that) and it turns out using sites like orbits or expedia is actually more expensive for booking flights and hotels. I went to orbitz and tried to book a flight then I went to the individual airlines websites and booked the flights from there and it turns out I would save almost 40 bucks.
