How bout enticing Leo Laporte to Revision3 with an offer to do an hour show about what he does best, sit in front of numerous cameras all trained on his face spewing Apple propaganda? Seems taking him on would make for a semi popular show and also clear the interwebs of his constant drone and rid it of his aging and greying head. Please hurry though,he has plans for his family to be online with their own shows soon.Yikes!!

Why would Leo Laporte come to Revision3 when he already works for himself and has a pretty nice living? Also I'm not sure what you have against him.

He doesn't spew Apple propaganda. He's really platform-agnostic. He does recommend Macs to people if their tech support person (like a friend or relative) is a Mac user. Also for the fact that Macs are less prone to viruses.

Leo is a Mac guy... but I wouldnt call him a fanboy.. IMO he advises Macs more because of all the newbs he runs across on this The Tech Guy radio show....
He runs across too many people that dont know what file extensions are... dont know how to back up files on disks, and people who dont know the difference between memory and hard drives.
I'm a PC guy because I know not to click on an .exe or a .bat file sent to me in an email... and I know how to set my options to show all files, show extensions, etc.. and because I like the availability of more software choices, to suit my habits/preferences.
I cant see Leo doing well in a "subordinate" roll concerning his content carried on the Rev3 network. Rev3 Corp would probably want some control over some aspects, be it advertising or distribution methods.
Rev3 also doesnt seem to like the "live" aspect w/ chatrooms and input from viewers. They have the infrastructure to put out live shows w/ live chat w/ feedback from the audience, but they dont seem to wanna do that...
The Dave Randolph/System thread shows that there seems to be some favoritism/nepotism/oldboy network stuff on the inside.
I'd like for both networks to stay seperate, business-wise... Seems tho that more Rev3, DLTV, ZDnet, PCMag etc folks appear on Leo's shows, but Leo doesnt make appearances on Rev3's shows.
I watch a half dozen shows on each network. Would hate to see shows degrade if there were some internal conflicts over content and presentation methods.
Edit: Opps.. also forgot thaty I'm a PC guy because if a piece of hardware goes on sale its easier to swap video cards etc and also not pay the "Mac Tax" for the base system

No point. He's managing quite well by himself.
Is he a Mac fanboy? Sure - but having more hands-on experience than most tech 'journalist's low-set bar of the leading blogs, he at least attempts to give other platforms a fair crack to the extent that his Mac-centrism allows.
I like his Windows podcast actually. Paul Thurrott is a pretty decent, and entertainingly deadpan, commentator on all things Microsoft. And Laporte is not only an excellent foil, he rarely gets in the way of, and contributes to, good informative programming - even if he tries to veer it Apple's way every now and again. Check it out.

I liked Windows Weekly w/ Thurrott, but recent eps have been all about Windows7.... not every1 has 3 or 4 spare pcs for all the variations of 7 installs.
Yes... Win7 should be adressed... but its still not a Gold copy.... How about t last 2/3rds content for OS's 90% are actually using

Why would Leo leave his highly successful network for Revision3? There is absolutely no upside. Revision3 is trying to emulate network TV, something Leo has no interest in.
As for Leo being a Mac fanboy, what of it? Only a PC fanboy would have an issue with it. As said before, suggesting Mac for the less geeky users makes sense. Sounds like someone is pissed that they can't afford to buy a Mac. Otherwise, I don't understand why the OP has an issue with what Leo prefers.
