JV explains that the 2 things he is trying to do here are share his personal experiences and connect more with the Revision3 audience. In this episode, he takes you inside his radio show in San Francisco. He also enlists a Revision3 "Super Fan", by the name of Chris Julian, to animate a story from his FM show. JV thought it would be really cool to let a long time fan of this site get noticed. Chris Julian became a member of the Revision 3 site in 2005, under the name of X-Tweeker. Although he does not post regularly, he is on the site all the time! JV hopes you enjoy the story and Chris' contribution.

Hey everyone. I'm the guy who animated the cartoon in the latest episode of JV's World. My name is Chris Julian, and you can leave me feedback directly here or on Twitter. 'Twitter.com/xtweeker9' I would really like to know what you guys think.

When I first saw the first episode of JV's world. I quite frankly thought it was TERRIBLE, really GOD AWFUL. But the red bed series and this episode have been very entertaining. And despite what everyone has said, I thought the first red bed ep. was really funny!

Keep up the good work JV. You have turned a hater into a follower!

You see how this story had something to say? I actually liked this episode, but it's the first one. Keep trying to deliver content instead of focusing on ego.

Also: While a few ugly cuts, the animation was really really cool. It reminds me of some of my own sketch work, and I've been close to stepping into the foray of animation, and I now have somewhat of an identifiable final product that I can learn from. Very very cool way to incorporate the audience into the show, which I wish more Rev3 shows would do besides you and Tekzilla.

xtweak- nice animation well done.

As for the show as a whole im pretty sure i just saw an ad for go daddy, ad for wild 94.9, then an ad for netflix. The story was funny and JV's 13 year old filler was entertaining but still very confused what you're trying to contribute to this community.

I'll stick with NPR for now for my radio, thanks.

Very funny episode. Jon Manuel can be really naive at times. I hope the next cartoon is about Christie (yellow dress perhaps)? xtweeker did a good job with the animation. I am glad that JV took this direction for this weeks episode. While the animation is great, I don't want this to be a permenant thing (once every 4 - 5 episodes would be perfect). I just think JV is funny on his own and doesn't need to be animated to make people laugh.

For people asking "I still don't know what direction JV is taking his show in?" The direction is called COMEDY.

I really liked this episode, the animation reminds me of the thing they sometimes do on collegehumor. I really like that style for some reason when it's portraying something that actually happened.

I'm one of the people who actually liked this show from the beginning, I see what he's trying to do and I really like it. I like that he tried a few different formats. But I think it's time he picks one to stick with. I liked the rants he did in the first episodes, but I also really enjoyed the stories he told like this one and the red bed one.

Overall though I really liked this episode, keep up the good work.

I have loved all the shows JV has put up so far (because I get the humor)

But this show was fucking hilarious! I disagree with Underground Wire tho. I feel you should take clips from the show, and animate them regularly. I wish this was a weekly thing.

And X Tweeker.. Great job bringing the story to life.

You guys set the bar high... Can you outdo yourselves next time? I cant wait to see.

An episode of JV's world getting a good response (even if it's only seven people)? WHAT?

But it WAS a great episode, though.

Don't get me wrong. I thought it was great. But I can see the haters coming out and saying that he just promoting his show.

Besides, the animation is all xtweeker and I'd rather watch JV doing what he does best. I think xtweeker should do some animations once in a while. But every week is just stupid. Just rename the show from JVs World to the Big Fan Show if that happens (and that's what the haters would be saying).

Seriously though xtweeker should have his own show (which I would support) and JV should do his own thing.

Even I agree here. I wouldn't want to be a main part of his show every week. That would take away from JV being JV, and that's best done in the live action. Every now and then, when it would be funny is okay.

I like how this show's forum now refers to all forms of criticism as a marginalized group of "haters." That if you don't laugh at a poorly told story about bed bugs, you're bad at humor. On the contrary, I think this show has a very immature, trite sense of comedy. JV clearly doesn't know what he wants to do with a show, and he clearly doesn't know how to entertain on his own without getting aggressive or perverse.

It's kind of funny that anyone would suggest there's something to "get" about these jokes, and that if you don't laugh you just didn't get it.

Instead of disregarding this post, how about someone address it?

Another funny episode, nice job JV.

Also, props to X-Tweeker; nice job on the animation (Out of curiosity, did you use Flash/ToonBoom or another program like After Effects ?).

I like how this show's forum now refers to all forms of criticism as a marginalized group of "haters."

Wait, you like that? Why would you like that?

Oh I get it, you were trying to come off sounding like a snob. Well done.

First of all, addressing the "haters" was a topic of his show. So can you see how viewers may then in turn address some people as that since it was a topic?

Secondly, and more importantly, those who were labeled as "haters" were the same couple of guys who would post the same exact comment in this forum week in and week out. Guys like Krishnasc and a couple of others would just come in every single week and just write "This show sucks, the host is a dick, why is it still here?". That's just being a hater. I mean do you really not get it? Some guys wasting their time every single week to watch a show they don't like and to leave the same comments in a forum for a show they don't like. Does this make any sense? Aren't these people just hating?

Perhaps in your sophisticated world you just don't understand how the term is used.

You said that the show's forum "now" refers to everyone who gives criticism as "haters". Was anyone called a hater in this thread? Nope. I don't believe anyone has been called a "hater" for many weeks now.

So are you just addressing old topics? Have you just gotten to that episode? Or are you just trying to fan some flames?

Would I call you a hater? Definitely not.

You're just someone who's got their panties, that are imprinted with the sheet music to Mozart's Requiem, in a bunch.

I wouldn't say you don't "get it". I would just say it's the "perverse" humor of the common man your majesty and that maybe you need to go back to your Bill Maher DVD's and have yourself a deep guffaw.

JV can't entertain w/o getting aggressive or perverse? LOL. You know him right? You've got him pegged and profiled from six Rev3 episodes. Laughable.

And what world are you living in? There is a HUGE market in the US for "perverse and aggressive" comedy. In fact a large percentage of successful comics these days are "perverse and aggressive" in their material. What the hell are you even babbling about regarding this point?

Look we get it, you know the formula for good comedy. We appreciate you teaching the rest of us what should and shouldn't make us laugh. Really, thanks.

DONE. (By the way, it wasn't much of a challenge.)

To begin: Please stop insulting me, there is no reason to get defensive.

You guys consistently use the same invalid, really asinine defenses. Ignoring the entire character attack persistent in your post, I never claimed to have pegged JV, or to be above him. He's got a radio show, and I work in mid-level audio/video (and have worked at a shitty dead end radio show). While I might be able to carry on an entertaining conversation on air, I'm not sure I could reel in such a massive audience like he does. I'm not ego-battling here, and I'm not trying to insult anyone.

I still think it's perfectly fair to say that JV pisses around the point a lot. I think it's also clear that the stories can kind of drop off and lose their steam. He also seems to make comments that distract the story, or confuse the ideas. He has had a completely different concept and theme for each episode, and even between different halves of the same story, the way it is told dramatically shifts. Tone is never consistent in the pieces, and thus the overall quality lacks. These are things that I think those "haters" don't know how to express, and instead engage in ego wars with people who also want to fight. Perhaps I could have expressed myself better, but I find the claim that haters "just don't get it," to be ridiculous.

Why do you feel you've engaged my post by picking a fight? I'm making observations about a show that I feel could improve, and no one has yet to point out a falsehood or mistake in my observations. They aren't mild opinions, they're arguable criticisms that you might be able to speak for or against.

It seems this forum is so hostile and quick to call people haters, or to make reference to the haters. As if they have to make concession for some of the poorer parts of the episode. I'd rather we actually addressed those weak points, brought up the great points, and tried to improve the shows and the communities.

Or you can keep calling me a snob, I can call you irrational, and we can go our separate ways.

Sorry BSG.. But "hater" is simply the best/easiest way to describe the people that constantly visit a show to simply talk shit.

That being said.. Im hearing crickets in the "haters" corner... Haters come out & plaaaaay.

I use Flash to animate with right now, but I really want to move way from that and get into ToonBoom. I really like the tools in the ToonBoom Animate program, but right now it's pretty hard to "unlearn" Flash.
